Well I did today for the first time. It was Ronnie "The Rocket" O'Sullivan, the former world snooker champion. He no slouch when it comes to running either can do a 10K in about 36 mins.Had to look twice just to make sure but it was him alright.
Fairly sure I passed Roy Keane in the Great Ireland Run in 2005. I was flagging at 7k and when I saw him ahead it spurred me on. Once I passed him there was no way he was going to get back at me. Got a PB out of it too ;0)
Didn't know it at the time, but as a Geordie, being able to say I beat the Sunderland manager in a race is now particularly pleasing.
At the Little Havens 5k last year Ronnie O'Sullivan stood on my foot at the start. Wasn't overly impressed I have to say but it didn't stop me taking a fair chunk off my pb - couldn't catch him tho!!
some heavy weight boxer or other no not Bruno, graham gooch - he ignored me i beat him Duane L'Dajo at the tilda fun run/half, stood on rob denmarks foot in a bar, eammon martin at the south of england 12 stage, keith cullen running on the embankment and of course terry knightley, 46 times essex championship medalist.
About 20 years ago I think we met up with Peter Snell on a run in Loughborough. I was ahead of him at the point when he turned off into his front gate. At that point he had run about 20 miles and i had run about 2. I don't think he knew I was about to claim a scalp, but a scalp is a scalp.
Last year on my way home from the marathon I saw Jackie Charlton at Belfast airport.I bumped into Jane Tomlinson at FLM 2003 And still regret not having the courage to speak to her.A few years ago Jimmy Saville waved off all the starters at the Glasgow half marathon, I then passed him at eleven miles.Still can,t work out how he got in front of me,maybe he fixed it for himself.
Never seen a sleb during an event, oddly enough. Except for that tool from The Salon, who was on starter-gun duty at the London Pride 10K in Brockwell Park a couple of years back.
On "normal" runs I've spotted Richard Curtis (Wanstead Park, wearing a Barbour and walking a big posh dog) and, er, that's about it.
Ran "with" Paula for a RW work thingy last year, but couldn't keep up. She was four months pregnant and practically walking. Gah.
I served Michael Barrymore when I was working in Pizza Hut during Uni days. Got a very generous big tip at the end. (Hope he wasn't paying in advance for anything otherwise I've short-changed him!)
Andrew Marr, bbc parliamentary correspondent runs in Richmond Park, seen him more than once. Sonia O'Sullivan runs locally. I overtook Gordon Ramsay on Birdcage Walk in FLM a while back. Seen loads of celebs really. It's one of those hazards of living in London I suppose.

...and in front of Frank Bruno
'YES, I have got one on' written on it.
...and she was telling the truth :-)
About a year ago, I ran past Paula Radcliffe.
She was doing a sprint training session and I was out running a long slow one!
[Pinches arm]
OK, I told a lil white fib...
Sonia O'Sullivan in various local parks
Tim Vine (comedian) was out walking when I was on a long run
BO
Were you running the same direction as PR when you passed her?
Sceptical BO
I once saw Tony Slattery on the tube.
But I've never seen a celebrity.
