I've had a look for my photo...it doesnt appear to be on there ...same thing happened at GNR06 but it was a different photo company...perhaps I'm jinxed!!
I'm 388 - I've got a look of grim determination on my face on one of them as I was trying to pip this bloke to the post at the end so was trying to put on a sprint finish and see where he was.
Millsy - Thanks for the tip off about the Brampton - Carlisle race. Probably gonna give that one a go, it's fairly local for me. Just had a look at my photo on the DE website, thankfully it wasn't as bad as I was imagining it would be.
alright ladies and gs. chipped in at 1.47 which is pleasing. origionally wanted to get 1.45 but after that hill coming out of the park im just glad i made it back alive. Ive actually been shot in the back or something on my DEphoto. heheh. oooh well my parents shot some good ones so ill just stick to those.
hey chip time 1:41.:40 with a finishing position around 360 and i'm quite happy with that, though i think i've caught this running bug and will try and better it next year!
chip time is 2:38:27, so 4 mins faster than the gun time, woo hoo!!! That'll probably be because my pal and I were so busy chatting we didn't even know we should have started running til some folk ran past us, hahahaha.
Well now i've got my time to beat next year, though i'm now doing at least one other half before the next GCR, so hopefully will defo be able to do this race in < 2:30. I know 8 mins less is a lot, but i'll have lost a lot more weight by then so will hopefully be more gazelle like, and thus I will run like the wind....is still head-on and at 30 knots.
Sorry for the delay. Had a bad week due to my brother in law being hit by a stolen car. He is in intensive care at Whitehaven hospital and is still on a ventilator and seriosly ill.
Oh no. So sorry to hear your news Mike. I hope he pulls through okay. What a terrible thing to happen. Don't worry AT ALL about a bit of a delay to chip times, as slight delay was of no consequence. In fact i'm amazed you've managed to get that organised at all. My thoughts are with you and your family Mike.
Mike - Bugger chip times...gun times...race routes...or any of the other things in our lives that we attach so much importance to...but in the grand scheme of things...aren't really all that significant at all.
I'm so sorry to learn of your awful news and it goes without saying that my thoughts and wishes for a full recovery are with your brother in law and your family. We've so often talked about healing vibes on this thread but I can't think that they've ever been more needed than now!!
I feel terrible for asking about chip times a few posts back. I apologise for my insensitivity during what is a difficult time for you Mike. Take care and I hope things turn round for the better as soon as possible.

But you were nearly finished by then. Take a look at No 1122 - I, or rather my friend, looks completely knackered!
Chip times for the race have now been published on:
http://www.winningtimeuk.com/index.php?page=dbsearch
bah no pics of me unless i trawl through the misc folder
chip time same as my watch so i was one second slower than GNR
still managed my marathon yesterday in 4:45 so i'm happy with that
Keith...there's not even any of me in the misc folder...
Well done on your marathon time btw
My chip time has come in at 2:11:10...4 seconds quicker than my 'watch' time
jen - I could have some congenital facial disfigurement for all you know
.........but actually it's just a sign of how hard I was trying to look good for the crowd. Failed miserably on that one, didn't I?

Amazing how other things take priority.
