Mort, you are correct! I have already booked a family room at the New Dungeon Ghyll hotel for 2 nights! The first night (Friday) is our anniversary so it will be carbs all round!
First day at school as a transgender woman today. Apart from melting it was fantastic. So far so good. I had a feeling good my transition would coincide with a heatwave.
Light summer clothing is the hardest look out pull off!
Have to run for two weeks in a effort to let it mend but not sure if it's working. Got some new running gear I am itching to try! And lots and lots I'll never wear again!
Minnie6--I'm not doing it as im doing the BT 3 Peaks on Saturday. Purely precautionary in case i twist an ankle etc. Im still going though, for an easy run round Lyme Park and to support/have a pint. Im pleased that you're doing it though. Well done!
Ploda- You don't have to wear light summer stuff, I find covering yourself from head to toe in black but moving as slowly and as little as possible when the temp goes above 20 works well. I do this often, not just in races. If I think of any more top tips I will let you know!
Thanks Minnie. It was unfortunate that Ross Millington was running on the same day. The day will now always be remembered for our 3 Peaks victory and not the day that Ross qualified for the Olympics!
J8- thanks, I was v v nervous but everyone was really nice and Jaynes' relentless enthusiasm was great, despite telling me it was 8 miles not the 10 we ended up with. Feet are sore from my rubbish trainers. Was a lovely route and look forward to the next one.
Mort - I beat her at the Whaley Waltz! So she not that good. technically she let me but, ya know! She's awesome. Enjoyed my first race as a woman, amazing running down the hill imagining I was a middle aged Laura Ingles. Happy days. (Going up wasn't so fun).
Lovely to see some friendly faces and actually do a fell race. What's the next one? X
PPP-- Glad to see you are transitioning from a road runner to a fell runner - Here are the ones i'm doing over the next few months -
Tomorrow - Hope Wakes Fell Race. Weds 6 Jul - Wormstones (Glossop) Sat 9 Jul - Charlesworth Carnival Thurs 14 Jul - Bull Hill (Radcliffe) Weds 20 Jul - Macc Forest 5 Weds 3 Aug - Cracken Edge? I might still be knackered after L50 but its a great race. Weds 10 Aug - Eccles Pike
PPP - you may also want to run this Sunday. We're starting from Rose Hill at 7am and running to Edale using the Bullock route, so 18 miles in total. The plan is to get the 10.52am train back to Marple. GBM is leaving his car at Marple and running to Rose Hill for the 7am start. The pace will be nice and steady but always with an eye on the watch! 3.52 should be quite sufficient time!

Mort-good to see you haven't changed!

PPP--Take it all to a charity shop.
GBM-I said I might do it!
Mort - yes, covering yourself up from head to toe has always been a good look for you!
ES - bigger lol
GBM - Good idea, someone will be able to pretend they have done the Frankfurt, Dublin, London, Paris and Amsterdam, plus the GNR
And more importantly, the S10.
PPP-hoping the injury's improving and your first full week has gone just as well.
Great running by J8, Eric, GBM, Kev to win the 3 Peaks yesterday and to BT, Jayne and Andy for first mixed team! You are a machine, J8!
Thanks Minnie. It was unfortunate that Ross Millington was running on the same day. The day will now always be remembered for our 3 Peaks victory and not the day that Ross qualified for the Olympics!
ES-modest as ever
Record turnout for this mornings run, really enjoyed it.

Eric. I think I might be able to do that! As long as it is not too fast! And the forecast. Is not too bad!
