If anyone fancies a run that starts at a sensible time tomorrow then i'm plodding up and down the canal and middlewood way starting at 9- 9.30ish (depends when i get out of bed) at the Boars Head. Im meeting Isaac at 10am at Rose Hill. Easy/steady pace.
I've finally managed to complete 22 miles without my back going on me! All i had to do was run slower at about 8 min/mile pace!! So my new plan for Chester is to run at 8 min/mile pace AND THE SUB 3 WILL BE MINE!!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!! Erm, hang on..........
AM - would you care to tell us how your parkrun went today and who finished ahead of you?
BS reccy went well today. I only got lost once and there were a couple of places around Brand Top that I know I didn't take the optimum route but I made it round and am confident I could do the whole lot now. I managed to avoid any run-ins with any bovine creatures today but got chased by a pack of noisy little dogs at some middle-of-nowhere farm!
GBM - great to hear that you did 22M how do you feel today though...?
Borrowdale was splendid - weather stayed remarkably dry/clear which was nice as I'm sure I'd've got lost in clag - only fell on my @rse once down the Scafell screes, got a "good lad" from Joss Naylor at Styhead, made the cut-off at Honister with 12 mins to spare and staggered in in 5:37, 303rd/341 starters
Hyde Park Triathlon was really good. Enjoyed every minute of it which is not something I have said for a long time about a race. Finished in 1.20:07 11th in age group.
Stayed on to watch the Brownlee's. Alistair knocked out a sub 30min 10K after the swim and bike.
Think this is the way forward for me at the moment.
Kwaka - Well Spotted! one of the few photos in existence of me smiling during a race - in this case due to knowing I was about to make the cut-off at Honister [oh, and I diddled myself in earlier post: I was 13 minutes under cut-off and finished 302nd ]
clairster - go on, tell us your time for the DD...?
Nick Ham did LTOB... having done the Lakeland 100 last week!
cool pic daz and well done again did 6.35, including bit of lostness and sock change..they wrote down 6.25 as finish time though, so i am not complaining! lovely course, one of the nicest i have done Nick was also there at the start but not running! Danny also did LToB, but he retired after 60M of L100, still managed it in a staggering 7.5hrs or something crazy!
MTBB - Yep, interesting article! Good to see County getting some coverage! Premier Season starts on Friday at Forest Green!
Kwaka - I've been away on hols - I'll get the marshalls' bibs back to the track over the next few days. Thanks again
Well, I've finally joined the Garmin set and now I'm becoming obsessed with mins/mile and disappointed that for years I've recorded most of my regular runs as being further than they really are - nowt like kidding yourself!
Weekend long run - I need to run Saturday morning as i have a christening on Sunday morning. I'm thinking about doing the Longdendale Trail to Winscar Reser and back. 22 miles. Anyone joining me?
J8 / Eric - is it definitely the Earl Sterndale to the finish section that we are doing on 21st? I have 3 reccies left and I want to cover the entire route so I'll need to do a different section this Saturday to the one we are doing together.
FOAR--No problem picking you up. Lets leave the time until we know who is coming as i'm happy to fit in with anyone else. If JS and DB tag along then no doubt we will have to have the run completed by sunrise.
I'm doing an easy run on the MW in a bit so i will expect you all to come racing past me at some point.

Good luck today Mr S.

FOAR & MH - Not sure if you saw this in yesterdays paper - County
Accompanying picture showed them doing hill reps in Vernon Park. They'll be doing parkrun next.
AM - I beat all the women at Cracken edge
Daz - teggs nose was harder I am sure. Still have your shoes here
Dovedale dipper, what a lovely route...very runnable as well, if you are that way inclined!

I'm joining Funk on a '14 miles with some at mara pace' run later. 5.30 at Rose Hill for anyone who is interested/can make it.
Just noticed this years "Harriers" pub crawl clashes with the Bullock Smithy.

DB, J8, Foxy - Is 6:45pm ok for tomorrow? Sorry I can't make any earlier. I'm looking to do 14m with 10 at mp.
Foxy - I can pick you up usual place 6:30pm ish if you like?
Mr S - good time.
Clairster - speedy time for someone who is not a speed junkie, a strider did and claimed it was the hardest thing he has ever done.
JS - Thanks. That time is OK with me as I'll also struggle to make it earlier.
TST - Has there been any come back with that reverse running yet ?
FOAR/JS/DB- Not sure about tonight, nothing to do with the time.
I've not been able to hold anything down, every time I have a drink it wants to come straight out.
Give me 5mins and if I'm not there you no why.
Jonah8--Get well soon. x

J8 - That sounds like what I had last week. If I don't see you later hope you improve soon.
GBM - That sounds good for a change. What time were you thinking of starting, and would you be able to pick me up on the way please ?
I'm doing an easy run on the MW in a bit so i will expect you all to come racing past me at some point.
