calm down, light two fags, inhale deeply, close your eyes, down three pints, count to 50, relax let yourself go and see what side of the fence you land on :O)
if I can't race then I'll certainly try to be there to support, be a change to see what the race looks like from the outside. Solarer Berg, where people congregate to watch the bike, is a short walk from the swim/T1 - but you guys have to cycle for a long time to get there. 2nd time round there won't be more than a handful 'cos once all have passed the first time, it'll be time to get back to Roth and T2, then out to the Lande on the canal to see the runners going past in both directions.
Mines Black but I do have a major dilema re what colour handlebar tape I should put on when I change the bars - lime green, mr blobby pink black again so it stays really sexy looking
BB, Flippin heck, I had realised you were going to be there. Thats made my day. Fingers crossed I wont be making the same exit I did a few years ago in Dorset. I also have a very nice bike that has been sat on a stand for too long and really could do with a good outing. I did wobble (literally) around Roth last year which included stopping for a beer at T2. I went there completed unprepared having only sat on the bike twice in the 6 months preceding the event and not running more than 6 miles. Its a race that I had wanted to do for many many years but for personal reasons I couldnt do the race justice.Managed to get around in 13.47 but if all goes well for 2008 hopefully I will be able to knock spots off that time. Look forward to seeing you again...:0)
I should add.... My backside was in tatters after the bike (in fact it was flippin painful from 15 miles into the bike) ....and the only reason I had to run some of the marathon was because there was a lady from our club participating and I couldnt afford to let her beat me as I would never have been able to live it down. This isnt necessarily Male ego, just personal.... Had it not been for that I was happy for a 14.59 finish.

I CANT BE ARSED!
Sorry for the shouting, but it had to be authentic.
Get on with it.
It's not a knitting club.
It is a non-competitive leisure event.
If nothing else motivates you to go quicker, then you should be aware that they do run out of pizza in the finishers tent...
Anyway, you, have you entered yet mr. fence sitter?
<need a lie down now just thinking about it all>
