i think we were due to meet at London this year on the friday night in victoria for a pasta party but i was delayed through work and never got into london until 8 via a quick trip to collect race number.
Am down for Lochaber, Paris and London ballot permitting before the busy period of May when its Halstead, White peaks, windermere, these two and Edinburgh for me.
Will probably do the Gloucestershite marathon in Jan too as well as Tring2Town.
Doing dartmoor discovery and kent 50 mile challenge too next year as well as a trip to Berlin i think as its meant to be a quick course.
Happycat Yes, I'm doing Cape Wrath next year. Hadn't really planned to but I was ill for the mara this year (such a shame - Loon and fellrunner will know what I mean ) so feel I have to get even.
Oh I wish I'd never looked at this thread. If I can persuade K3 to spend the week up in NW Scotland ..................
HC - what about Connemara? Would be good training for the Hebridean courses, brilliant marathon (or you could do the ultra). 6th April. www.connemarathon.com
Cape Wrath is only the week before these marathons, will need to think about it.
Connemara is a lovely part of Ireland and similar terrain to the Western Isles, that would mean 5 marathons in 3 months. Does it fill up quickly or could I enter after finishing Dumfries?
Hippo my hubby is interested in alternative energies, if that helps?
Hey K2 how are you doing? Was going to pop in to see you last time I was on the mainland, but I drank too much whiskey on the Friday night & was keeping a low profile on the Saturday.
Hi RfB! I'm fine, thanks. Still working, sometimes running. Doing Weston prom runs so mileage is a bit easier. I'm off to Cape Wrath again next year (entered already). How are you and the family? Love to all of them. Part of our Cape Wrath crew (with a small daughter, plus a small son as well now) have moved up there - they're having a house built next to the village hall. Views of the sea and the mountains.
Family all doing well thanks. The girls are learning mainly in gaelic, so we have both had to go back to school too!
I used to like the prom runs, although traffic was murder trying to get there. One time I just got there in time, only to realise I had forgotten my trainers. I got a pb that day, but ran the bath half 3 days later with strained legs.
Mooey just peeked over my shoulder & suggests you might like the Loch Ness Mara for next year.
RFB Wow to the gaelic. Great for kids to learn another language at an early age. I used to tech French to 3 - 11 year-olds and I'm a bit obsessed!
Ah - was that the famous bath Half prior to you starting wearing Frees?
Hi Mooey! Loch Ness mara is on my list. Good grief - I'm due for a very busy retirement. No plans for it yet, though. If the list gets too long I might decide to go at 60.
that's right K2. I've worn frees for all but 2 of my half marathons, and all my marathons & ultras. Mooey wore frees for Loch Ness too. I noticed her running form really improved since she started wearing them, although I guess it could be coincidence. But she certainly seems far happier with Frees than any other running shoe.
I must have worn out about 4 or 5 pairs by now and still the only niggle I have with them is the 'heel pocket' ripping.

Keith you have a busy year next year.
Hippo well if you went and took his computer then wouldn't that be enough
I was wondering whether to do another marathon before these 2. Got Dumfries and Lochaber planned, any others that would fit in with this?
i sure do HC, i also notice i madea spelling error, its gloucestershire not gloucestershite as i put it, i besdt not judge it until i've ran it
probably do beachy head and/or snowdon next year too
