Basically I have a foot problem with my arches, PF etc and I've had some custom insoles made to cure it.
But here's the problem, If I put my insoles in the shoe I can't actually fit into it as the exisiting insole is already in there.
The insoles in my astro trainers are non removable, they are stuck down with glue and I if I force them out I can see they are going break and tear and leave bits of the sole still stuck to the base which will be very bumby and cause problems when running on them.
I've just bought a brand new pair of Puma Kings and I don't want to rip out the insole and ruin them because I may have to sell them and find a shoe that I can get the insole out.
But before I do that I wondered if anyone else has over come this
problem or is there a way to get the insole out in one piece?

All the running shoes I've seen have removable insoles.
Would be silly to have custom insoles made and then not use suitable footwear. Get thee to a proper running shop ?
Oh hang on - are you talking footy boot things ? No idea then - sorry !
For some reason on the astro shoes they don't like to make them removable, god knows why?
Thanks
I run AND play footy (even though I'm a girl!) and I need orthotics. The only way around it for me was to buy a bigger pair of astro trainers as none in the shop had removable insoles. If yours are brand new, can't you swap them for a bigger size.
the insole is usually quite thin and covers the construction of the footbed so it is integral to the shoe
mine were quite well worn when i put the insoles in so they eventually tore away and i could get the ortotic in - but i couldnt get a Spenco gel footbed in even tho the were a size bigger
you could maybe very carefully try and peel away the insole and remove any bits that get stck afterwards?
The Puma boots I had were literally worn once so I couldn't take them back sadly but I did get them out, it wasn't pretty and I've no wish to do it again.
It basically involved a set of pliers, a chisel, a hammer, a sharp cutting knife, some patience and brute force.
The Insoles were tightly glued in that I had to dig them out and alot of it ripped unevenly and right at the front they were stitched in.
There's no way I would do this again on a new pair of boots but I've got them out.
In future I'll make sure I buy astro trainers with removable insoles.
Thanks for the advice all the same guys
You'll be lucky to find Astro trainers with removable insoles. Do let me know if you succeed!
I've never really been a fan of those however, I've always gone for the addidas or the Puma King range.

Sometimes I'll play with my hard ground studs on, or wear moldies but if the astroturf doesn't have any give in it, it's no good also pretty useless for indoor as well
A good selection of boots here

thats the only way to do it, short of adding a bit of heat to soften the glue, I often put the shoes in an oven for 30 seconds, you need to be careful of the materials the shoe is made of though
best solution as you say is buy shoes with removeable sock liners
