Am MP3 player full up with the Cranberries with a little bit of classical stuck in, sometimes the words get in the way of the brilliant country side, im a bloke i cant concentrate on two things at once...
How can you run with tunes. What aboutthe traffic. CARS, LORRIES, TRACTORS ETC. Tried and would not tell anyone todo it. Bad Exoerience from it. Near leg experience.
I rely on music to stop becoming a "lab rat" on the treadmill and getting acute boredom:
Queen - I want to break free Yello - the race Sky - Tocatta Cops theme tune Survivor - eye of the tiger London Marathon theme tune Bangles - walk like an egyptian Ski Sunday tune James Brown - living in America James Brown - I feel good
Sad question, but where can I get a copy of the London Marathon tune? Misic to run by? Anything by 'The Quo' AC/DC live at Castle Donnington (memories of a truly awesome gig!) Scissor Sisters Delirious Newsboys
Normski, You want the CD called 'Theme Tunes to Films' by Ron Goodwin - Tesco Extra is best price at around £11.50. Sadly I have not the courage to purchase this myself. The actual track you want is from the file 'The Trap'. If anyone has an online version for download then all the better.
filthy gorgeous by the scissor sisters is a new favourite
but the all time greatest has to be 'Killing in the Name of' by Rage against the machine - great for getting going if you're flagging in the middle of a run!
Comments
Lose yourself - Eminem
Theme from Rocky 1
The opening lyrics of Lose yourself seem pretty apt
Status Quo - Down Down
Kept singing it in my head during my last 1/2marathon - it kept me going.
The Stranglers - Golden Brown
Perfect for running up long steep hills.
Keep the music low, use on-ear earphones rather than in ear.
Besides the two mentioned above are ones that I sing in my head as I don't always use my MP3.
