  • Actually thinking about it this year I have rarely run

Go for it, you can always remove it for runs if it causes any, er, 'bother' and replace it afterwards. Should be fine though.

One wee tip. If you ever have to go for an x-ray, take it out - my chiropracter *never* looked at me in the same way again.

    *grins*

  • If you are having yours done, your partner should get his done too. Its only fair.
  •     it is the hood that sits over the clit.

Well I don't know what you are all on about, I've never found one !! image

  • NGL, he already has a Prince Albert from years ago so no problem there!
  • Ding a ling.

The hole from a PA never heals either.

  • Is it like hashing and you follow a trail??image
  • That's excellent, thanks for the advice, Sam.  Good point about xrays- I never thought of that!
  • Sam.Sam. ✭✭✭

No, neither did I until that point.

    *snigger*

  • What about smears
  • Sam.Sam. ✭✭✭

    never had a problem

  • OK so the nurses didn't look at you strangely afterwards then
  • Sam.Sam. ✭✭✭

erm, one looked a bit surprised and asked if it hurt

but tbh it wouldn't bother me if they *did* look at me strangly - like with they chiro, it would just amuse me

am not wearing it at the mo, like anything else you can wear it or not as you please

  • LOL I have a bartholins cyst which if it flares and I need to get it looked WILL mean I get a couple of comments of the GP I usually see - he is just like that

Iws told by my piercer that you can leave them out too long - she had to have hers done again

  • Sam.Sam. ✭✭✭

    Yeah, I heard that too.

I've had mine out for a few months at a time on several occasions, not had any probs so far.

  • I worry about it on the bike but after a year I should be fine to take it out for cycling really
  • Sam.Sam. ✭✭✭

I used to take mine out for cycling, yeah.

  • Seems to be popular amongst runners
  • Yes Snorks that too
  • One wee tip. If you ever have to go for an x-ray, take it out -

If you ever have an MRI definetely take it out....  LOL

  • for psychological reasons (a naughty little secret only I and my partner know about).

i thought that when i got my nipple done

    ha ha ha ha ha

  • Thanks for the comments Sam and Maddy - I'm surprised you need to take it out for cycling?

I went cycling last weekend and thought about this specifically.  It doesn't seem like it will be a problem because that's not where I sit.   Is there anything else you have to take it out for?  I don't want to have to take it out at all.

  • Yasmin - I haven't yet had to take it out for cycling or anything else.  I just think I will when I do longer stuff but thats because I am worried about stretching the hole since the hood is only skin, I use a range of positionsover longer distances just to relieve the pressure - it will probably happen slightly over time anyway but I don't want to accelerate it
  • Ah just realised who may be lurking on this one  - the range of positions in THIS instance relates to how I am sitting on my cycle saddle
  • maddy how very wise of you image
  • Definitely take it out if ever you go get waxed....image
  • Really Jane?  I get waxed every 2 months or so. It might be in the way a little but I thought I might be able to work around it.  Maybe it's better to take it out  be on the safe side.
  • Oh definitely remove it for a wax - you risk a very nasty tear otherwise.

I don't see a need to remove it for any other reason or purpose.  The only discomfort you may have cycling or wearing very tight jeans is if you are wearing a very bulky piece of jewellry like a barbel...if its just a bog standard 18 guage ring with baubel join you will be fineimage
