161 posts and they havent started cashing yet ! Nothing cashed my end although there was 1 transaction overnight

Do you think they have delayed the actual draw of the ballott to make up for the postal strike ?
They stated all enteris post marked 19/10 would be accepted so to be fair may have waited until 3 days after
No cheque through my bank account. Gutted.
Is it too soon? Are we all checking a few days too early?
Why 3 days? Did they say so? Does that mean I have to stay up all over again on Sunday night? Arghhhhh....
My bank won't update again now until Monday morning, not sure about other banks.

Good luck shades - look forward to the report - I would love to do this one !. Surely banks update overnight Fridays seeing as Saturday is a working day for them ?
Sprinkletoes - no they did not say but they went out of their way to state all enteries post marled 19/10 would be accepted and the freepost is 2nd class so could take 3 days to arrive

I am not sure i believe some of the things about cheques being cashed
1) When I sold a car the chap gave me a cheque, I said I would give him the car when the cheque cleared. we were both with A & L so I asked them if it would be quicker, they said no. I was checking every day and it ended up being 5 working days.
2) Someone said the big banks are quicker than building societies. Last year my A &L cheque was cashed at the same time as all the others
When we do start a list it might be useful to put our bank down as well so that others with the same bank know what their bank is up to just in case some do take differnt lenghts of time
I am with halifax, nothing for me but they did update overnight cos I have been paid!
yeah i'm with A&L, only transaction this morning is my pay cheque, but lots of others from past few days that have only just shown up. They are really bad at updating your account on-line i think, so even if they have cashed my card payment (?!) I prob wouldn't know til middle of next week, but then I have to wonder if it is because i'm in or they taken it as a bequeathment (such a word?!)
I'm with Halifax too hellen and like you my pay is in and a direct debit out but nothing else!
Oh well, at least no-one else is in either (except jas of course - why did I leave NatWest!)
