Happy New Year to one and all. I am marshalling at Minnis Bay on the 6th and 13th so I expect I will see some of you then.
TT, I have just re-read your last post. I spent ages researching the reviews on Amazon and came to exactly the same conclusion. They have it on offer atr £168 and I have an Amazon voucher coming to me from my Topcashback discounts, so I will probably buy one then, hope the price does not go up in the meantime.
I’ve had a cheaper Garmin 110 for about six months now, and although it works well enough, the battery life isn’t great. And like Bill said, it mists ups. Not the end of the world, but my old foot pod FR50 lasted ages on a button battery.
Anybody know anything about "Plantar fasciitis" which I think (self diagnosed) I may be suffering from? After my longer runs I am suffering quite a lot of pain in my right heel (only the right one) which tends to go away after a day or so. It seems to be worse with certain shoes which might indicate it is being aggravated by lack of proper support. Anybody else out there who has experienced it?
JFDI Yes, I have noticed the TRAC forum has very little traffic too. Some folk post a query or whatever and nobody bothers to reply to them. Anybody else doing Darent Valley on Sunday? I was surprised at how few did Paddock Wood on Sunday last, considering it was a GP and Club Champs. I will need to get up in the dark for Darent Valley as it is an 08.30 start and nearly a one hour's drive away!
Cinders, yes I am doing Whitstable and my number came through this morning.
JFDI I looked back at my time for Darent Valley last year which was about 5 or 6 minutes slower than the other 10ks I was doing, so yes, it must have taken quite a bit out of me. I have looked at the entrants and again it looks like less than a dozen TRACcies doing it.
Hello all. I've been off the forums for month during a move but now I'm safely in Whistable I guess I should say hello! After that, I'm not running much at the moment...mostly cycling as have a couple of sportives lined up for the summer. Hoping to do the 10k though...if legs still functional after bike ride the day before.
hi Bill ,think i'll give it a miss, had to go up to Greenwich today and have had my fill of the A2/M2. Also, got a sore throat still. I'll probably do a leisurely 6/7 miler along our glorious coastline. Good luck finding it and thanks for the offer.

Go for it TT. Unfortunately I am not around tomorrow or next Saturday, but the next few after that I will probably volunteer to help at Palm Bay.
Palm Bay starts next week doesn't it?
