I am sorry to say that Steady is in intensive care at Derby Royal Infirmary. He collapsed on Tuesday 18th December and at the moment is on life support. They believe it is meningococcal meningitis although this has not been confirmed as yet. He has suffered a severe septicaemic shock. The prognosis at the moment is not good. Please can all his friends log on to this board so I can update you. I will put the message on the other forums but could the Clubhouse forum be the major meeting thread.
Thanks
June E (LFV)

Would this perchance be the same Steady who gave his bone marrow to save someone else?
Thoroughly decent and altruistic chap. He doesn't deserve this. My best wishes for a fully and speedy recovery.
Terrible stuff. I've got to echo what Muttley said, top fella.
Best wishes, Steady.
Thoughts and prayers winging their way to Derby
