Thats good news well had me pasta for tea gonna have a few bannanas and a few pints of Tetleys then thats it hope to beat my pb of 48 mins who knows ALL THE BEST TO EVERYONE RUNNING IN THE RACE
I didn't get the time I had hoped for, but did get a pb, so can't complain! That head wind on the way back was tough and energy-sapping, but overall a very good race which I enjoyed. Nice T-shirt too, and actually got one in my size
No PB for me which I exepcted anyway with the lack of training, but still came in under the hour so happy with that, good course, well organised, a definate for next year......
Good course though not the most scenic - was impressed with the organisation and the T shirt at the finish - didn't manage a pb but still came in at 54.54 so quite pleased with that!
managed just under 49 mins.......more than 6 mins over my 10k PB! That's what happens when you injure yourself and miss 5 months training! But I am pleased to call myself a runner again and I have found the motivation to start some proper training.
HA ha i saw the dead rat I knew some one would comment on it!! (brill!)I My thoughts on the day were I wanted my PB and i achieved it within 6 seconds!!! (48mins 51 secs)The organisation was brilliant the Lucozade lads, tannoy annnouncer,Jane Tomlinson's son and husband present it just was all nice. The run itself well yes must agree it wasn't spectacular but I live a couple a miles away so I knew what to expect. On the homeward bit felt I like crap but wanted to do my PB and I did it.Tee shirts nice the mornings work was worth it everything was spot on and thank you to Dewsbury RR for the event.
Rhea you haven't mentioned 'pink tights man'. He needs to be identified and stopped from commiting further crimes aginst running and all round modesty and decency.
OK OK SEAMUS! I admit to being overtaken by a man in bright pink leggings. But as I have stated before, the bright colour disturbed my vision, causing me to veer off course. Honest!
Who was the guy who looked like he was running an ultra?
All clad in lycra, i-pod plugged in, glasses on, camal bak at the ready? He set off quite close to the front but was plodding away when I overtook about 100 yards after the viaduct
as I said...bargain bin orange! I liked them. I could spot you as you ran past me....dammit! My legs are gonna pay for the Carr Lane hill reps tomorrow.

Not scenic sal?? But surely running through Hollywood is scenic
25 seconds off my pb. That'll do! Phew!
Not secenic - that's the Golden Mile you ran down!!!
I managed a PB (by 4 seconds but they all count) so well pleased
I'm surprised the local takeaways let that one get away
Did you notice a distinct lack of stray dogs

There is a blog by pink pants man on Realbuzz, someone sent me the link yesterday but I deleted it...
I have to admit to seeing him at the start, and had a laugh about them, but he came in much quicker than me, so all credit to him.....
