Prague Marathon & Cobbles

Thinking of running the Prague Marathon next year. Recently read that the course has cobbled sections. Does anybody know how many miles of cobbles there are?

  • Several from our club did it this year, not me tho' yes, there are cobbles, but no one seemed too phazed by them and most managed to do good times with a pb.

  • Going on the weather this year, I'd think your worst problem might be the mud!

I ran it this year. Yes there are cobbles. Quite a lot of them in the first few miles, when you circle round the old city, and then again in the last couple of miles as you come back to the finish. I found that I didn't really notice them at the start, and although they were a bit annoying towards the end I didn't feel that they would seriously affect anyone's finishing time. That said, I did notice other people running on the pavements to avoid the cobbles, so maybe others found them more annoying than I did.
