I haven't got a race report because I didn't finish. However I can tell you that first aid is great. My plantar fascia broke at 5k and I couldn't walk let alone run. A nice dutch doctor looked after me and didn't mind me getting snot all over his jumper. Got it straped up by a Physio (well two) and cheered my friends in. I am gutted but there is no point being too upset. Just need to take some time off running. Hopefully it will make be doing more cylce training!
Trying not to get too upset. I think I'm going to have to do it next year, face the demons, have a longer hoilday. I quite fancy a nice half in france next year.
I did see lots of pubs and I did have a good time. I also found the fair!
The fair tends to find you if that makes sense I think it follows people around stalking then, just wanting for them to loss there perspective and then grabbing hold. Next thing you know your half way up on a ferris wheel trying to work out how you got there.
IMDE - i entered about 15 minutes before the official opening time - I'd been told they did that. Took Viking quite about an hour of refreshing to get in and I think they'd sold out in about 3 hours. They do however release another 100 places in January.
I'm hopefully ( if I survive Germany ) going to Lake Placid in 2010.
I did hurt my foot 4 weeks before North West Tri. It was really bad I thought it was a broken bone went to A and E and everything. I rested it, it got better. Before the race I thought my foot was a bit hurty but I just guessed that was pre-race wibbles. Got going and something went. I don't think it's totally torn but I'm getting it all checked out. It's a lot worse than it was last time.
I'd like to nominate Coops and also Farnie please.
For those that don't know them I'd like Farnie to do it because she has been very good in her last few races prepares well, always has a plan and I think it would be interesting to see how she copes with this distance.

Oh no are you ok?
Were you able to visit the sights of Holland at all or should we cheer you up by promising that we will take you there one day for a run/tri?
I'm ok. Thanks Cake!

just think about the party you'll be able to have after you do it next year though x
You actually totally tore your plantar?????
Was there no build up to this or did you race while injured?
Hope you make a swift and full recovery OO.
