Might just see you there. Suggest you sign up for the Cape Argus cycle tour as well, it's a beautiful ride, well organised event and it'll give you a few days for sightseeing and wine tasting before the Cape Epic. And you could stay a bit longer and do IM South Africa as well
Nice pics Aanders - some quality last minute training there
Been home for a few days now and feels very odd to have so much time on my hands. Might have to start doing some exercise again shortly to pass the time.
Not sure what to do next in terms of tri - will have to decide pretty quickly though cos otherwise all my potential choices will fill up. Might to Vit again, possibly the Zurich Oly since I'm still planning to go and support the Ship for IMCH but otherwise probably just a couple of oly/sprint types.
Not been online much due to dodgy reception at home on my new mobile broadband. I'm sitting in the Thames mall at the moment where the reception is excellent.
It was great to meet you all, and good to catch up with Jellybabe and Big Dave - you'r holiday snaps look great!
I have done two tris since IM though nothing as long. I had a sprint (750m, 20km, 5.5km) last weekend and it was my bestest tri ever for everything. Great swim, smooth transitions, fast bike and I really enjoyed the run for a change. Yesterday I did a fun tri in Thames (275m in the pool, 10km, 2.8km). It was a blast and I really enjoyed passing people on the bike (it was in waves and I started in after about 50 others). I actually passed people on the run (for a change) and finished in 53 minutes. Not bad considering T1 resembled IMNZ's T1!.
Autumn is well and truley here so I'm now deciding what my winter goals will be.
This week might be difficult except for Fri/Sat but possibly up for something next week. Now working Tuesdays and Wednesdays so have to avoid those. Have posted on other thread re possibly joining up with Ditchy and TB on Thu 16th.
Apparently Hamilton is the happening place for immigrants - more Brits are moving there than any other place. Can't think why though. They do have a big hospital if that's any help to you Sally (Waikato Hospital).
I'm now into my winter training - spinning twice a week plus weight training. Also running a little (though just short interval training on the treadmill). No swimming as yet cos I burnt my leg on Casey's motorbike exhaust and apparently it's a third degree burn! Only 7cm wide but it hurts a wee bit.

No - looking at a mountain bike race in South Africa for next year.
Going to give IM a break for a while

fancy the south island, maybe christchurch area, may too quiet though
there is an expo in london in oct so we will go to that
Being essentially unskilled and unqualified, not sure NZ will want me
Nothing to lose by investigating further though. Do you have details of that expo Jellybabe?
