I love this race. I came across it in a Runners' World "best of" review and was amazed I'd not heard of it before as I'm orginally from Kent. Turns out the course passes my parents' house twice and is as flat as a pancake.
Watch out for the huge number of worms that seem to want to sacrifice themseves under runners' trainers each year. It's a mystery where they come from...
Look forward to seeing Tiger and Tracey G on the start line in the industrial estate in March!
Afternoon all. I have just sent off my entry for this one. For some unknown reason the Paddock Wood website would not allow me to enter online, telling me cookies had to be enabled, which they were on 3 different PCs I tried doing it on. Still, hopefully have got there via snailmail.
I see we have one or two of the "usual suspects" in this thread already. For those of you doing FLM, can I just get a plug in for my local race, the Thanet 20 which still has places. Entries have been a bit slow this year because, we think, the date of the 2nd March coincides with Mothers Day and might be putting some folk off.
I did this one last year and didn't exactly cover myself in glory, but I hope to be better prepared this time round especially as I have got an FLM place just two weeks after.
Don't tempt me but, for once, I think I may need to be sensible. Tho' if there's still places when my legs have forgotten the torture I put them thro' in their first ultra this weekend then..............!
Bill, I also had the cookies problem so have entered by snail mail. This will be my first Half and I am looking forward to it. Was hoping to use it as training for the FLM but never got a place

Will see how it fits in with all the other races!!

Can't enter online at work so will have to wait till I get home.
Tracey, in the words of Laurel and Hardy 'another fine mess you've got me into'!!!!!
I'd love to do this on this year - no marathon training in the way
And just a nice gap to recover from Tunbridge Wells half
Treacle Tart
You will love this race.
Yooooo hoooooo everyone!
I'm hoping to do this one too. Going to try to beat my pb of 2.15 - 'bout time really; that was 3 years ago!

I've not entered yet, but definitely want to do this race!
I got a 1.56 time at Watford the other week, so looking to shave another minute or two off that (well 1.55 would be nice!)
At least it's flat (Watford was NOT) so I'm hoping that will help me a bit!
Would be doing it again this year, but haven't got the miles in really!!! Loads of running, but nothing further than 13-14miles....
Finally got round to sending my form in yesterday.
Unless something goes drastically wrong, I am definitely going for a pb.
