Road to Deca was interesting although i wouldn't say it inspired me as Bob Brown is a bit of a nutter so it won't get you out the door thinking "i must try to be more like Bob".
But it passed my test of a good read in that i read it in under a week.
The Runners Literary Companion edited by Garth Battista has some good stories on running (published in the US by Penguin, available in UK at Bookers). Once a Runner by John L Parker published by Cedarwinds grips you and is worth a read.
It's a biologist studying different species and their strategies/adaptations regarding endurance and fuelling and looking how he can apply his findings to his own attempt at breaking the 100km record. Not your typical running book, but extremely interesting.
There are 2 films as well - Prefontaine starring Jared Leto or Without Limits starring Billy someone and thats just awesome! I have watched it about 10 times and only had it a few weeks.
I have read many inspirational books. But inspired a lot from “No One's Business: A Migrant's Barefoot Journey to Millions”. This is a great book written by an award winner author “Vadim Turnacu”. I purchase this book from Amazon.
Comments
I thought Feet in the Clouds was brilliant and also really enjoyed The Ultra Marathon Man.
Much as I love Paula, I found her autobiography a bit boring to be honest.
I enjoyed Barefoot Runner.
Was Road to Deca good?

Feet in the clouds- great.
Ultramarathon man - also great (gets a bit American in places, but Dean is a decent author)
Wild trails to far horizons - Mick Cudahy - is a marvellous book, if you can get hold of it
Paula Radcliffes book for me was hard going, a bit boring.

Running and Philosophy: A Marathon for the Mind
My favourite is "Why we run: a natural history" by Bernd Heinrich
