England v Ireland, 15:00 on the last day. It's sandwiched between Italy v. Scotland (wooden spoon decider?) and Wales v. France (Championship decider?)
Stuck at work while consultant tries to fix broken DB. V. bored and tired ginger kitten
So France aren't as fantastic and England aren't as rubbish as everyone thought. Well done Wales, Ireland and England. It opens everything up but it spoils the last match Grand Slam decider. Hopefully France can learn from this - like pick a proper kicker and practice scrummaging!!!
Cracking result for us but I was in absolute bits every time the french got the ball and ran at us. If they had a front row and didn't make daft cock up's they'd have buried us.
Good show from Flood, Noone and Croft but not much creative flair on show. It's a good job the forwards are so strong.
I still don't see why we play Vinokolo and not give him the ball tho. I know he had a great time wrestling the french backs into touch but he's got way more than that.
All I can say is......it was better. A little better.
Still rubbish like, but there is light at the end of the tunnel and only an idiot would rule out a Calcutta Cup win, however unlikely, given the unpredictability of that match in recent years.
Strokosch must remain, with White on the bench. We need a genuine open side to offer better balance to the back row.
Hines is great but is acting like an idiot since he grew his beard and must be benched as punishment.
You were a bit unlucky, Dude. The first 20 mins. were great but when Scotland didn't score and Ireland pinched one it changed the match. Is Hines a bit stupid? Scotland lost a great opportunity to get a try. What was he (not) thinking?!?
errm - it doesn't say much about the Irelamnd V Scotland game but I fell asleep after 10 mins and missed the rest of the first half (only had one can of Stella by then as well....).........even the 2nd half which I did see left me wondering what the hell was going on
it was a dull match - all endeavour and no idea
and well done to England - they took what chances they had (and thanks to a ref who missed the knock on for Sackey's try) and defended well against the Frogs who were at least trying to attack and stuck to Lievremont's style of play with the ball in hand
IF Wales aren't chasing a grand slam against France - I suspect Ireland may turn us over in Dublin - then it could be a great final game between 2 sides who want to play attacking rugby......

HC you summed up our tactics better than I could.
'lack of real ambition to win'
or belief.
Lets hope so
The Irish need to restore something after the World Cup
so far they have scraped past Italy, and been plucky losers against France. Plucky loser is starting to wear thin now.
We have done that for the last few years.
sigh
Kwilter, yes they do:

Still slightly miffed ginger kitten
Any win in France is a good win.. cracking last ten minutes, too - outstanding French defence, but swamped by our chaps in true style....
thank God their front row are crap..

Rory Lawson deserves a spot in the squad.
