1/2 PB is 1:32 Bristol 2007, I'm hoping this being a smaller crowd 'no traffic management' i can see circa 1:25 -1:28.. this would make me a happy chappy.
Not been here before nor have done a half with a smaller crowd, so am quite excited.
Matt Yes, Fulfords 5 was quite an experience! You don't get entirely free running at this one and there are quite a few turns & small hills to break your rythmn, but it isn't much to worry about. Key thing for you may be to get a good start position.
Good to see the forum runners splitting into small groups. sub 1:30, 2 hours and 2:30.
Are we going to try to meet up? Is the race HQ a good place or is it too crowded to spot anyone? I'll be in my PRR vest with KWILTER appliqued on the front
Neil Barkell: 1:25 Mattsgottheruns: 1:25 - 1:28 20 minutes: sub 1:30 Tinker: 1:30 number42: sub 1:40 small: 1:59:59 runnersbeen: 2:00 RichC: 2:00 kwilter: 2:25 Miserable Bleeder: 2:30
Not sure where to meet up Kwliter, HQ sounds ok, or outside the Apollo cinema/tourist information office. I will be all in black anyway What say kind of 9ish?
Checking the met office site, looks like what ever you had crossed whether it be your fingers or your rabbits feet it may have done the trick, there seems to be a break in the weather for the Torquay area for Sunday.
But they've got it wrong before.
See you all Sunday, is there anything happening in the area on the Saturday night that anyone knows of?
Sorry to hear you can't make it Runnersbeen. Next year eh!
Just did the last 4 mile run, intention was to take it carefully but got carried away went a bit too fast.
I'm meeting other friends on the morning of the race but will try to pop by HQ at 9ish, i will also be in black and if anyone remembers numbers i'm 1132.
good luck to all. looking forward to good weather (a little less of that forecast southerly wind) and running in good company.
It's all getting a bit real now - I'll look to find you at HQ as it will be great to say Hello. I'll look out for the media entourage following you Number42!
I'll be wearing a Prostate Cancer shirt with RICH c on the front. (As this is my first half I'd thought I'd try and raise a couple of quid!).
Just did my last run although I may try and find time for a short one tomorrow; then it's down to Devon on Saturday for a week in your fine county - can't wait!
2 sleeps to go!! I'm too excited to sleep <bounce bounce>
Last night's run pace was spot on for what I hope to do on Sunday, kit's all washed and ready to drape on the airer to dry. Just need to pack my race bag and I'm all set
Check ITV teletext page 337, apparently 3 athletes are flying in from africa, would say Kenya but I can't remember! When to winner recieves £400 not sure how thats cost effective that is but hey as long as they don't lap me thats all good lol!

Well, I'm going to a ball, so if you see someone mooching about with a sleepy look on their face and probably going the wrong way .... that'll be me!!
I've just had a right complete bollocking off my daughter in law and 2 grand daughters
they only live 1.5 miles from the start / finish area - i did warn them this time we would'nt be there - but do they bloody listen
I said Malvern HM's is on just 33 miles away ,where as Torbay is 165
More flak to come i reckon
Number 42
This Hm should be a doddle for you ahh, after that run of yours - if i have the right person ?
what was it you did, ran across Devon or somewhere
Last run just completed (5 miles easy), 2 days of rest now.

ok, good luck for when you do !!
Runnersbeen out I am afraid. Toes took too long to heel and have lost too much fitness. Will think of you all in the rain.
This will be my one to do next year.
Bad luck RB Are you coming to watch or would that be too much? Hope to see you next year anyway.
Tonight's club run: about 4+ miles at ploddy pace.
Sorry to hear you can't make it Runnersbeen. Next year eh!
