FB is acting up a bit with me tonight as 'puter is doing it's weekly looking for bad things scan so it's taking stuff a while to arrive and for replies to go back.

dont take this the wrong way but you come across really nice and friendly ...for me ...giving you a hard time would be like kicking a puppy ;-

Today's fiasco was partly my fault, someone posted a message on our helpdesk three days ago which needed me to respond to it, but because it had my colleague's name next to it, I didn't bother to read it. When the lovely member of the public phoned up in a total paddy to complain, I decided the best thing to do was come clean, apologise, make no excuses for not calling back, but then deliver the bad news that basically the answer to what he wants has to be no because it goes against policy. Deep down I know it's not personal, but when it's "you" have done this and "you" have promised that, it's really hard to keep that in focus, especially when he's going to make a formal complaint which will go right to the top and make me look bad.
I'm off to the Runner's Arms, fancy buying me that glass of wine I couldn't have at the social?
