I did this last year , and maybe it was me , but I still think it is one of the toughest ones I`ve done.
Last year I was 18th..!!!!!!!!!!!!..............................from last

It`s not that easy to find Lesley (wasn`t for me anyway)so give yourself plenty of time but parking was in a field last time no problem.

Take A6 out of Preston towards Garstang - there's a right turn by a petrol station signposted Calder Vale - it gets very rural very quickly and I'd leave extra time for travelling as both M6 and A6 get busy with daytripping traffic.
If I do it, I'll tip up on the day. I've even used the course as a training run
I still look the same (will be wearing the flag in one form or another)
It all depends how I feel on the day..........much like yourself.
Have let the training slip this week due to one thing or another , mainly getting sick of running in the rain and wind..........and it`s Ackworth Half on Sunday

YP1 .......I just spotted that bit about home made cakes......Sorry I should have known a female wouldn`t have made a mistake about such an important matter.
I have decided to put myself through this gruelling ordeal once again (a bit like self flagellation it will cleanse the soul)..........and what better day to do it on?
Don't say gruelling ordeal, I'm still recovering from Spen 20 yesterday.
If you pass someone muttering "remember the cakes, remember the cakes" on the way up the hills it will probably be me
YP1 .....I will ask you at the end if you think I was right.
But as far as I can remember in the latter stages there is a very long hill and then towards the end just to add insult to injury, a pub where you are cheered on by some happy drinkers just before you have another hill.....not as long but steeper.
I will be muttering "remember the lager, lager ,laaaaaaaaaaagah!"
