How long will it take to get across the red start

How many pacers are there at each start then? There's not one per pen is there?
I'll be in 5, and hoping for a time of under 4hrs...

I will also be at the back in Pen 9 a victim of a pessimisstic entry time as this is my first marathon, I'm aiming for sub 4.30. Anyone else on Red 9 with similar aspirations? I will be in bright yellow Luekaemia Research top no.44835.

i put down 4:30, but want to drop back to 5hrs, and go with RW pacer, am in pen 8, what do I do just go and plonk myself in another pen? arhhrhghgh, more anxieties!

I'm in Pen 9 after putting 5 hours down for my finish time. I'm not really concerned about what time I cross the start line, what will a few minutes difference make when you've got at least another 4 and 3/4 hours a head of you!! I'm hoping for about 4hrs 45 maybe even less. Under 4 hours 30 if I'm extremely lucky. But I don't want to start off too quick and then die 10 miles before the end...however that's likely to happen anyway!

I am number 50,000 odd and probably in pen 9 (pick up my number saturday so shall see) as i am golden bond and i think I put 4hrs 15mins on the form.

everyone here in pen 9 is number 40,000 odd - does that mean I am in pen 10 or beyond?!?!!?

going to try to bribe expo officials to let my brother start with me as he is blue start 5000 odd number wise but we HAVE to run together as I keep him from sprinting and he keeps me under 4hrs 30 min finish (hopefully!)

No ZED there's only 9 pens. They're based on your anticipated finishing time, not on your race number. But your race number does determine which start you are on.

Seems to be a good number of people back in 9 with ambitions to run 4.30 or thereabouts. Hopeful & Zed, I was looking at even 9.45 miles which I think is 4.15 pace. Hopefully able to keep to this once race opens out a bit.

I'm sure there will be lots of booing as red and blue starts merge though.

No my real name.........actually when I thought of the colour red it just popped out! Actually my favourite colour is sky blue but they don't have that start this year at FLM!
