How long will it take to get across the red start

I put down 4hrs but I'm now expecting 3hrs30. I don't know what pen Iim in yet but would I be able to move forward a pen?

I meant I was sitting here trying to think what was read and the man utd red home shirt came into my head.......oh dear.....bit defensive isn't it.

I was thinking more of a rather sporty footballer.....

Starkas, I've read somewhere that they stick rigidly to the pen nos. for the start. 4 hrs should put you in the middle I'd think.

I'm no.52000 odd, put down 5hrs15 and have ended up in pen 7!!! I'll be going to the back of the class!!

Thanks for the replies. I read the predicted 14 mins in RW, but it didn't seem long enough. I remember watching on telly and it seemed to take forever for everyone to get thru the red start. But if you guys agree then it must be right!

Have only gone from Red once, from Pen 6. It took 11 mins to get across the line, and remember, the gates are 200 metres before the line! Blue start IS better. Its not the time thats the problem, its all those extra thousands of people ahead of you that you have to weave past to go faster. That tires you out.
