Feeling a lot better today, haven't run but aches and pains are almost gone. If you want to see a real injury by one of the Tit's check this out http://10marathons10days.blogspot.com/
Matt was strapped up daily, first one leg, then later in the week both, but he never complained, great guy
I was listening to the radio this morning and in the review of the daily newspapers was a story about a woman who had run 10 marathons in 10 days but was having problems with GBoWR ....anyone we know?
Buney - that's Michelle Atkins, the woman that finished ahead of me at the 10 in 10. I think the problem stems from last year the world record was registered as the fastest person to complete 10 in 10. Had it been registered as the first man to complete then Michelle would probably not have a problem as she would be the fastest woman to complete.
Well I went for a recovery run today, so painful, it was like feeding my feet and legs into a giant paper shredder
Shades, thinking of you (((()))). Don't rush back! Your training log is looking pretty good at the moment Please take a few more days off and let the rest of us catch up!!!
Shades I did Edinburgh mara yesterday and, as I went for a gentle totter in the wild windy wetness of the South Downs today I contemplated what it might be like running a marathon today.
Hmmm windy's one way of putting it. About force 5, gusting 6 on the nose for the first 18. Yay... But I really did stop worrying too much cos I kept thinking of you TITs!
I had a lovely day though, meeting up with lots of friends before and after, together with welcome beers in the pub when the queues for the shuttle buses back to Edinburgh were too long to face. But it wasn't a particularly good run for me. I entered with a knee jerk reaction after missing sub 4 in Paris by 15 secs... but of course only got 4.06 yesterday. But I've learned a lot and will be back, stronger and faster for Florence in November to murder sub 4!!!
My legs ARE talking to me! At least, they haven't mentioned the paper shredder yet.
AH - that sub 4 should be yours next time out. Force 5 is windy, as if a marathon isn't tough enough. I know the guy that won Edinburgh, I met him in Connemara this year. He had been hoping for 2.18 but finished in 2.25, again due to the wind, but still a brilliant run.
Hi Val - how are the knees?
I've been for a run this morning, 2.6 miles and legs don't feel too bad. Some aches in feet and particularly in my shins but a general soreness not injury type, calf was OK. It feels good to be running again.

AH - I don't cycle and certainly don't own a bike.
LB - no thanks to the wine either, no good for recovery and I rarely drink at home. I'm sleeping so well at night now, am eating well too
Funnily enough - I'm sleeping better now you've finished this crazy ordeal...... It's not good waking up at 3am worrying about you!
(I feel like your mother)!
I'm not a keen swimmer, only like swimming in the sea and too much faff with my hair.
I want to run

You are made of such strong stuff.
AH - my legs haven't forgiven me yet, they're still not talking to me
Did you have a good run at Edinburgh? I heard it was a bit windy.
