seren - not sure but possibly boxes won't be allowed in transition.
FB /Carl - is there still a 'street wear' bag for after the race (and for the stuff you have on in the am but don't need for the race)?
and debbo is quite right about the germs. most are caught be touching germ laden objects or people and then transfering them to your mouth / nose when you touch your face. they're floating in the air if someone sneezes at you but then settle on stuff.
No worries. This is from the athletes garden page of othe general infomration section:
Shower Services Closed showers are at your disposal in the Athletes Garden. Changing rooms A marquee reserved as a changing room is near the showers. Athletes can deposit their clothes there before the race.
Massage Service Place yourself under the capable hands of our professional massage crew and enjoy the massage with Carmol massage products. (www.carmol.ch). Free of charge on race days, for other days please make a booking at the Info Centre on the Landiwiese.

RE;whatever the E111 card is now, according to a travel programme last week, they said to get the medical care that the card covers you must actually have it on you may put mine in my saddle bag along with my extra ins cover to do IM.
Finally managed to book my bike in for a service on Tuesday, talk about cutting it fine! Also managed to borrow a bike bag off a colleauge so dosh saved there. The thing is enormous, i'm sure i could fit my bike in without taking the wheels off! (I will though, don't wanna risk destruction.) Checked the BA website yesterday and they have seemed to remove the bike bag dimesions which is good. I presume i don't have to inform them i'm taking it in advance, it doesn't say so.
Last thing to do (apart from pack) is to sort out travel insurance. Think i'll go with snowcard, used them before and they seem reasonable.
By the way, does anyone have any wetsuit glue i can borrow in Zurich? I forgot to order some and my wettie has a small nick. If not can you buy it at the expo?
ellie.....I got a friend to do it and he was going on holiday today so it had to be done yesterday.............Its one less thing for me to worry about

In 2005 we got a rucksack (similar to the IMDE one) along with the good bag when we registered.
Why is it I keep thinking of Uncle Alberts 'During the War" when I say in 2005
jeezus - you lot and germs.........ffs if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen...........positive vibes folks!
the website says clothes for post race can be left in the athletes village.
you could leave your post race cheese with my sherpa instead, then he could save some for me
I'm not worried about germs particularly - just acting in my capacity as a good health worker and advising others

Ellie,
I was the same when I picked up my box from a friend. It is huge!
I'll be taking wetsuit glue with me if you want to borrow it.
if any london based pirates need bike bags I have a couple of options:-
I have 2 bike bags that are surpluss to requirements - (free to anyone who wants to come and pick them up). They are the ones with wheels at one end.
or
I have a couple of delux bags that someone can borrow if they really need to, (but they have to come back to me post IMCH!).
Give me a mail if anyone is struggling......
Aw, what a nice offer!
I couldn't pack my bike yet, i'd unpack it to check i've got all the bits about 50 times a day! Must write a list though...
Hoping for a ride on Sunday - then back it all up - eep!
Nam - did you get my email?
