My friend and I have recently started running and we are building up very slowly. We are currently running 3mins/walking 3mins for 30 mins but my friend has developed a pain in her lower leg.
It started in her shin but went away after a short rest, then she got pain in the calf muscle and her ankle was swollen. Now, after two days rest, she still has a little discomfort but not pain. Any ideas what it could be and if it's okay for her to run again?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
