Hi all - its that time of year again!!
Entries are now open for the pudding run - there is a limit of 600 runners this year, so get your entry in early, as its likely to fill up fast, and there's no on day entry.
Come on and earn your pudding!!!

we are planning to have more toilets this year to ease the burden, so to speak!
Sorry, can't make it either
Warm weather training in Costa Del Sol until the week before xmas.
Bet you're gutted
Oh i'm absolutely gutted WA
But needs must, as they say.
the 14th it is indeed
Flying Ant is just scared!!!
Hi Guys
Is this definitely one for trail shoes ( which I don't have yet!)
Also - what does it mean by 'timed to the top of the sand dune?' Hopefully it's not all up hill is it - gulp!
Cheers
And
Unless the weather is extreme you will be fine in your road shoes, and the first 800m is uphill, a bit.
...............Also the stretch up to the golf course is quite steep too.
Mr. Phil, scared i am indeed, especially after seeing your new facebook profile photo........... RAMBO !
LOL
Andrew - there is a prize for the first one up to teh top of the big dipper - used to be a xmas tree. Also a prize if you can beat the existing record to the top.
Road shoes will do fine, as long as you're prepared to get them wet and muddy [and sandy!]
as the guys say - there's 2 main climbs - the first is the dipper, which is tough, then a long steady climb at about 2 miles or so up the golf course - you do get to come downhill twice as well to make up for it!
and smell the sh*t farm!
One race that could tempt me out of "retirement" but im cyclocross racing same day.
Hmmmm what time does this race "kick off"?
10-45 in the morn TT.
it doesn't kick off as such, more shuffles up the hill
I sent an A4 envelope, do you think I will be disqualified ?
Hi All -
sEREN - A5 is about 1/2 size of a4 envelope - and a normal stamp should be fine as its classed as a letter rather than large letter of a4. Alex has entered twice now because of a4!!
we did try on line entry a few years ago, but felt the extra costs weren't worthwhile as they'd have to be passed onto runners, and we are trying to keep the race as good value as possible.
First entries are in already - numbers are limited this year for the first time - get in early if you want a place!
right got my a5/c5 envelopes from asdas yesterday so its in the post now
Phil is the minimum age for this 16... just checking as its mainly offroad my son would love to do it..... he's much faster than me but I won't let him do 10k on the roads.
yeah - 16 year old nutters can join in this as well!! probably about a mile in totoal on the roads, mainly in that first mile to the bouncy bridge.
use 1 eneveploe for the 2 of you - shouldn't be a problem
It is a tricky business now with larger envelopes. You have to put a 'large' stamp on some depending what is in them. The wrong stamp and your letter can be delayed by weeks.
