Sorry.. we really are full! entries closed a week ago. Apologies if you didn't get in in time.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't just swap numbers.. it is forbidden under UKA rules. Contact us via www.twharriers.org.uk website and there's a possibility we can re-allocate. As JJ say's there are important insurance issues and if for any reason you needed medical treatment and you were wearing the wrong number it would involve many problems.
We are keeping a close eye on the weather and will be updating the website all week.
Florian - hope you can make it! can anyone from London give Florian a lift??? please?
Wishing you all the very best of luck! have a great race.
Yep, running on sunday....looking forward to it. No attempt on PB this time though.
With running....just getting back on track after inconsistent training all of last year....did my first marathon(Lochness). At the moment just building a solid base of mileage....for next 3 months and take it from there.
Hope all your injuries have cleared? I'll try and find you at the race...if i can! We can catch up!
That all sounds very positive. Good news. How was Loch Ness? I hear its a great race.
I'm doing well at the moment. Trying to split my time between running and cycling. After Tunbridge I've got the South Devon coastal half and the Meon Valley Plod 20 followed by the Ballbuster duathlon. After that its pretty much all cycling until the Etape (stage of the Tour De France) in July. Then I rest and get fat again.
Just checked out the uphill bit at about 6.5 miles on the website. Holy Frig! Do they supply ladders for that bit? I'd imagine anyone aiming for a PB should try to take advantage of the downhill stuff beforehand... Anyone know if this course could lend itself to fast times?
Ironsy I have done both races a couple of times and as far as I remember Hastings is a gradually increasingly steep climb over the first 5.5 miles. There's a bit on it in this months RW.
T.W's Spring Hill on the other hand will undoubtedly stop most runner's conversations and I found that it is one that is manageable without stopping but takes a while to recover from. It is a tester and the incline is sharper than Hastings.
I think its a bit similar to Crowborough 10k's dreaded Palesgate which you have to do twice!
We've ordered in good weather, all the snow is gone and no more rain on the way. Get there early, parking will be tricky and we have 300 more runners than last year. Thanks.
Hope that I can run on Sunday because my right foot is aching and I actually dont know how to go there. I will do a test run after work today. Hope that it will be good and that my foot is not aching too much.
I am running this race and look forward to it, being my 1st half marathon entry I am quite nervous, hoping to achieve between 1hr 30-1hr 40 but who knows with those hills in the mix. Have a great day everyone. WS
1.30 to 1.40 is very good (I'm aiming to crack 1.40 for the first time). Good luck - if that hill is as challenging as it looks, then Johnny J's advice above looks taking on board. I still think that, if run sensibly, the rest of this course should lend itself to fast times though...

Hi everyone,

Hi Chelsea Plodder, yes it is a Clapham Chasers top... good eyesight!!!
My first half so looking forward to it and feeling apprehensive at the same time.Should be a great day!
Roughly whats the gradiant of the aptly named "spring hill"? Could prove to be entertaining!
I used to go to Tunbridge Wells Grammer School for Boys so I'm looking forward to the trip down memory lane!
Good luck Shamir. You'll be fine. I live in Clapham so I see you guys around a lot. A good friend of mine, Stephen Vey, runs with you.
Don't know the gradient tomted but it isn't steep, just long. I mile I think. 6.5 mile to 7.5 mile or there abouts.
Thanks Chelsea Plodder!
I don't think I've met Stephen but I've seen him on the Chasers forum (does a lot of triathlons right?).
Might spot you there, I'll be the Indian with the Chasers top (shouldn't be too many of those!!!)
