KKD - Erm - none. I've got a cold in me nose. I've been a little lazy over the festive period.
I usually run 3/4 times a week and was moving up to 4/5 times a week ready for when the schedule starts on 5/1/2009. From then on it will be 5 times a week for 16 weeks which is unheard of for me.
I shall count the mince pie season as one long carbo loading session. The trouble is though, I'm supposed to be keeping a food diary at the moment. The dietician lady is going to be truly stunned when she sees the extent of my piggery.
My first week is around 20 miles in total. I've been running a little more than that already. The first weeks long run is 7 miles on the schedule and my long runs at the moment are at around 12 miles.
I managed to eat my tea last night. I finished the day off with some supper as well (whilst having some cake inbetween times). I struggled on manfully (or should that be man-flu-ey!!!!) to scoff a hhhhuuuggggeeeeee bowl of cereal this morning.
I have a head like a bucket of glue but I think I should be able to resume training sometime around March/April time.
Yes. I think you're right. We all know that you shouldn't train whilst suffering from highly infectious debilitating conditions like man flu.
Right. Off to work to unleash some duck webs of snot over the poor unsuspecting customers who dare to trouble me whilst looking for bargains in the sale.
I know Dawn Mill. She was a smashing girl. Was Raven her sister?
Oh no. I'd forgotten about the taper. Tell you what. I'll have a little run on New Years Day and then that'll be it until the big day. There's no point in over doing it now is there.
We were stupidly busy today at work. No time for lunch again. I managed to grab a drink of water every now and again and eat a couple fo choccy biccies. The food diary isn't going to look very good. Mellow Plodder popped in to say hello and very nicely went to Starbucks and bought me a coffee back. What a star.
just found out that you made it into the super six FF,great news.Thats makes you an Sezz the Posh an Becks of forum world (by the way Becks doesn`t mean the alcoholic beverage). Anyway good luck to ya and i`ll have a triple chocolate muffin waiting for ya at the finish,it might be a bit sweaty though cos it`ll have just travelled 26.2 miles in me shorts.Maybe I could go for a muffin marathon world record.
Right, training started in earnest today as we went to watch the Serpies NYD 10K in Hyde Park and then went for some food afterwards with RichK. A good time was had by all.
I can now say that I'm doing the London Marathon this year and today is officially named T Day - 4 with T Day being Monday which is the start of the 16 week schedule. TBH, I think that it's a bit unfair, coz I'm sure last years schedules started on a Tuesday because Monday was a rest day.
I said quite a few posts ago that I wanted to get to T Day at the same weight as I was before Christmas and somehow it looks like that's going to happen .
No New Year Resolutions have been set apart from to be more of a tight arse and not to buy loads of running kit but I shall buy some new trainers and a few pairs of socks from my friendly local running shop who have particularly excellent and knowledgable staff .

lol But its a hell of a time to be keeping a food diary!
I just wondered what sort of base you were starting from. (Sorry to talk about r*nning!!) ;--)

Pizza Man is the prize mincer among us.
I can confirm that Fat Face actually didn't eat that much over Christmas, certainly not as much as I know he is capable of.
No she is not!
It's turned into a terrible case of man flu now following a mega busy day at work. I'm going to struggle to build up the energy to eat my tea.
I'll try my best though.

Will that be OK do you think?
