JD, unfortunately not (see 3 runs per week thread for full details). Official clock says 4.44 but am thrilled with my first ever marathon and PB . Garmin time 4.36 - will get it 2nd time round without a doubt!
I want to say a big thankyou to Commander Barley for all the organisation and fun from the supporters and runners. It is hard enough being a supporter but to organise it as well......
Barlos-You did everyone proud, you should be very pleased with yourself, from hearing how much drink you had, (don't believe you were drunk) my little contribution could not have helped at all. Think i could have also done with a bloody great kick up the arse but doubt it would have helped though. Have already entered the ballot for next year, if not in will see you all at Mudchute.
Melds- Great picture of you in your tu-tu, are you doing Beachy again this year?
Thanks everyone. I only made the briefest of brief visits to the railings to get my Happychap-hug, but it was great to see the RW support station - definitely better on that side of the road [from a runners point of view].
Looking forward to next year - whichever side of the railings I'm on!
Thanks for support, gave you a wave as I went by (Martin = blue n gold Cleethorpes vest - 60th), just missed my target time of 2hr 30, but good day all round. Same again next year
Thank you so much to everyone who was there on Sunday - I finished in 6.35 in the end not quick but I was well chuffed bearing in mind how hot it was!!
special thanks to Barlo for organising and to Nam and Bear for my big hug and the jelly babies when I stopped to say hi - count me in for the supporters group next year!
Big thank you to Barley for organising the support. I had such a great day supporting my Super 7s (and anyone else who strayed into my territory) that I'll definitely be back as a supporter if they don't let me over the other side of the fence.
Now, all we need to work on for next year is getting that ASDA to open earlier. Making us wait until 11am for the first drink of the day was terrible .... we could have dehydrated in that heat .... Oh and I'll bring proper bio-hazard tape to cordon off our quarantine supporting area next year!

Unless I am mistaken you lot were on the wine before 10am
Well some might have been but I didn't touch a drop until after 11 and the great god ASDA provided me with a nice bottle of SB and some ice to keep it cool ..... did make up for my late start by supping an EU Champagne lake by mid-afternoon though
I'd have done this before if I'd realised 222 photos wouldn't take forever to upload after all. Blouse was snapping away all day at Mudchute, I've dumped the whole lot in photobucket here in case anyone wants copies of any of them. Not quite the quality of the official ones, but then not £12.95 a pop either.
There are a fair few boob and elbow shots in there. He reckons both were accidental

I like to consume a lot of liquid, not swim in it
