Knee still elevated on box in the office, and nurofen. It's got way better quite quickly so hoping for a small 3miler on Thursday to test out whether can do Southend 10k Sunday...
No race pack yet for me either..,, hoping to complete this one with running all the way (unlike RTTB )
Not got my running pack yet......though my daughter and my wife have.........
Getting bit nervy as this time last year I broke my ankle so really must make it to the start line this year. Managed a 10.2 miler on Saturday evening as the sun went down so just need to make it to the start......
Dont think the weather will be as good this year as it was last year, when I was sat in my wheel chair watching my daughter cross the line.
Went down a pot hole in the dark on a tarmaced pavement about 100 yards from the house in our village. I am skipping the run in the dark now the nights are closing in.....
Well my training for 2 moinths injury free has gone completely tits up.
2 weeks ago I had a hamstring pull so thought I would just rest up. I was also on holiday in Italy last week , well pulling a heavy suitcase throuigh streets of Florence has pulled the hammy again. To make it worse I have a golf ball size blister on left foot at end on middle 2 toes. I managed to get Compeed on it and it seems to have pushed the blister up the gap between toes, this has now popped it.
I was gutted up until I saw the shirt. My god they expect blokes to wear that. OMG its vile. The only way I will wear that is a night run under a hi vis jacket.
Winning for me is just getting to the start......... I had a back problem after training for a year for the FLM and then last year the ankle so this is going to be my year I hope at 47 to get to the start with my wife and daughter and raise a few quid for the charity I support as I have had Coeliac Disease since 92 and they have been very supportive.
Got my pack this morning, The front of the tshirt is fine but what's with the logo on the back .....naff to say the least.
Mine doesn't fit so no great loss, but I knew that at registration because you were given no option to choose a mens fit and size.........should've registered as a man.
Another race tshirt destined for pyjamas or for wearing in the winter under a jacket
I read,I think on the Royal Parks HM website to contact them if you haven't received pack by Oct 2nd which is Friday. I haven't had mine but trying not to worry yet!
Does anyone know what the range of predicted finish times of the coloured pens are? I can't remember what I put on my entry form, but I'm a little alarmed to be in the green start which seems to be the second pen (I think I may have put 1:40)
hubby went home at lunch to check post (London Marathon mags are mostly arriving today), he said lots of post...no LM mag. didn't mention any race pack either. probably loads of bills.
Got my pack yesterday, just waiting for my vlm magazine and it could be a good running week.
Agree with the points about the shirt, nice at the front, strange at the back but i do a lot of running with back pack on, so should get some use out of it.
FFerret - I've been placed in Pink zone and I estimated around 2.20 so with your 1.40 you're probably in the right place
Just got my race pack! Gorgeous T-shirt... my fave color! Love the logo on the back. Makes up for VLM jacket being big enough for three of me Lovely brochure, and nice touch with the envelope of safety pins. Also pleaed it's luc sport, as so much nicer than gatorade. All looking good so far!
Am yellow number and think i put 2:30... hopefully I can run again by then

don't panic I think there's still quite a few people waiting. Plus it does say to give it until 2nd October so still a few more days to go.

Hi guys,
I've had my pack and i have to agree with tweeky about the logo on the back of the shirt!
Can't see me wearing that.
Colour's a bit iffy for a bloke too IMO.
Hey ho, didn't sign up just to get a shirt so i'm not not bothered, really looking forward to the run now though.
Hope the weather holds out.
Hope for tomorrow..
