I didn't get to run yesterday - again. Had to get some extra fencing up inside my hoss fields - at this time of year the 'innits' arrive in droves and seem to think it's OK to feed their left over sandwiches and chips to other folks horses whilst they graze quietly. Grrrrrrr. Sat here in my sexy lycra and just got a phone call saying I have to go and help shift hay bales!! I think I'm destined to be 'last frog home' at FLM at the rate my so-called training is going.
I got a new running T through the post on Thursday. I love it! I think I'm going to wear it for the big day. It's Asics 'venom yellow'. So basically I will be unidentifiable from all those flourescent charity shirts!! Maybe I should think again!!
FIVE blimmin hours collecting, shifting, sorting and stacking hay. Arghhhhhh.
I'm going for a short plod now just to blow some fresh, dust free air through my poor lungs.
You off on your relaxing weekend today HC? I never did get an email from you BTW, so if I can help with anything just yell nice and loud on here and I'll get in touch again
thinking about a 9 miler tomorrow.... unfortunately we have sooo many willing babyitters here tonight that it would almost be rude not to go to the pub. but if i can run a 9 miler while lightly hungover then 26.2, carb loaded and zero alcohol in bloodstream will be a abreeze.... won't it?
Hi Group 6 supporters and runners, did a flat and easy 20mi at Worthing last weekend, starting the taper and really just can't wait for the big day now (if nothing else, I'm so looking forward to sleeping in on a Sunday for the first time in months)
2 runners under MacFitz forum name: Lisa, number 3022, time to Mile 17 ~ 3hrs (11min/mile), wearing a 2006 World Cup Australian Soccer top (Aussie Gold with green edging) & black and grey Canterbury capri tights, will have a Cancer Research UK "running in memory of" sign on my back (possibly not helpful if I'm facing you tho!); Paddy, number 2961, time to Mile17 ~ 2hr 15min (8min/miles), wearing white t-shirt with skyblue side stripes and dark grey Nike running shorts. No goodies required thanks, just a big cheer and wave on the way past!
Went out for a long run with limpette that turned into a long walk due to niggles and pains. No worries, it was a lovely walk and time on feet anyway.
HC - I'll email you now via the forum with a different address that I know works. Just in case the previous one is naff for some reason. Have you heard from the other group 6 supporters yet?
Hey wobble wobble! *waves furiously with delight* how cool! How'd you finish up after Worthing? I was sore but very pleased with the finish time. Did an appalling 16miles today tho which completely ruined the elation of last weekend. Just think, 2 weeks today it'll all be over ...
I finsihed in 3 hours 45 mins and 5 seconds. I was well chuffed but totally totally jiggered at the end, I think the last 6 mles of the FLM may prove 'interesting'
How are we all today? Sun is shining and the birds have been singing since about 4 o'clock this morning,
Wobble wobble, great time for Worthing Maybe, I can interest you in a little outing to Abingdon in the Autumn? I believe Trogs has signed up and maybe one or two other Allsorts.
Well done Tiptoes, that's an awesome time. We'll have to be quick to see you whizzing past...

Righto, off I go........
Sounds like a good training challenge to me Gladrags
I managed a 7.5m earlier. I'd like to get a couple of longer runs done over the next week before Limpette goes back to uni.
Good luck for your half Samson.

Good luck for the flm
Morning fellow sixers !!
Well done Samson...Respect !!
Had a lovely 9 miler yesterday, couldnt believe how short a run it seemed. Now just have to figure how to avoid the easter eggs that are calling me
Hello
Lovely relaxing weekend in Christchurch. Weather was lovely despite the *whispers* Bank Holiday. Sounds like everyone is going great guns.
Will get my act together this week Limps and will shout if anythings required.
Now got a million jobs to do. The grass has grown about a foot overnight.
Erm... Easter Eggs = Carbo loading no?

Mwah to all the super sixers.
Nope, nothing from the other supporters yet but we still have a couple of weeks yet. I'll go searching for them soon.
Good going today Limps. Time on the feet counts as well.

Really enjoying this tapering lark though
Morning campers.

It WAS a lovely morning here and the birds were singing loudly VERY early, but now it's quite overcast and chilly
