I strapped my flippers on and got out there. I've never swum so fast in my life.
I'll let you know whether it becomes invigorating later in the day... just now I feel like a drowned rat!
race went well last night, course pb by maybe 7 minds although the start was changed slightly and it was a tine bit shorter but still I know I smashed it. 6 miles in 52.50, very hilly till about 3.5 miles too. Happy Wabo...

it was short Nicky but still I want to have a go at a 10k now. Got one 28/7 that I am planning to do. Yes I was a happy bunny because that course usually takes me closer to the hour.

I was glad I'd done it, not necessarily invigorated though! Looking forward to my first fartlek session tomorrow, though I might have to structure it mentally a bit to avoid doing too little in terms of speedy sections! At least it looks like I might do that one in the dry!

Had the day off work yesterday and feel like I did more.
I need some ideas for salads, something to give a bit of variety.
Hi Wabo - was away for the weekend. How are you? What have you been up to?
lfc - what about a vegetable frittata? I know it's not strictly salad, but we have salad with it and you can eat it cold or hot so can take to work.
We just use loads of veg - mushrooms, broccoli, onions, leeks, cabbage, with feta cheese and eggs and a little bit of cheddar for the top. You don't need much to feel full either. The pan we use makes 6-8 portions (we use 9 eggs).
How much work did you do at home then?
Vixx - Sounds interesting, have to give it a try.
At home I was looking after Master LFC, sorting out the front and back gardens, repairing one of the kitchen cabinettes, cleaned the oven, tidied, hoovered, cleaned the house, went out and did the weeks shopping, all whilst playing with Master LFC.
Wow! Busy!
I should have worn my Garmin, it felt like I was competing in something.
LOL - that would be some weird kind of multi-sport event!

Morning everyone
Needing lots of fluids today, sweated so much on last nights run. I thought I'd been having enough fluids through the day, but I can really feel the thirst this morning. Think I may have to take a bottle with me tomorrow.
I'm hitting that point too. It's so much warmer than I've been used to running in! Going to have to invest in a water belt or something, carrying a bottle in my hand just doesn't suit.
Weigh in today - back down to 12 stone dead so a pound back off. I suspect up and down by a pound every week is now the standard!
Hope everyone else is going well, what's your next race folks? Might go and test myself out at parkrun again this weekend.
Nicky - I'm avoiding races this year to get my leg working properly. I may see if I can get to the Park run this weekend though.
