Hi Foxsake, see you are in the list for this one too!

I am planning an October of marathons with Clarendon on the 4th, Eden Project on the 11th, Abingdon on the 18th (hopefully) and the Greensand on the 25th ! Tough but I've been training for the London2Brighton 56m ultra (20th September) all year and with Paris, Neolithic and the Picnic under my belt so far, Salisbury will put me on 4 in training ! What else are you doing?

Sorry for not responding sooner.  With only 10 weeks to up the training and one very dodgy ankle at the moment, I am going to have to say thanks, but no thanks - even though I would love to have had the chance to run.

Foxsake, how did you get on on Sunday? Fantastic weather but probably just a bit too hot for the first half. Great course and marshalling / signage seemed fine to me, only one place where a sign was missing but a bit of common sense seemed to work! Certainly not a pb race, and the course was 27 miles but thoroughly enjoyed it with a 4:51 slow and steady time !

David, well done I finished in 4:33, found it tough and hot but great fun, I measured it also long at 26.7 miles. A very well organised run I thought.

ps actually got out for a 5 mile run today, only a snails pace but at least I got out, without any more ill effect on leg, which still hurts like hell when I drive but what the hell, I won't be driving the marathon will I !!!
