I'm really scared about how to get this presentation written for Thursday - I suppose first step is to clear the marking decks instead of sitting here on the PC?
10k done. Slowly. But given the hills, the heat, the cold and the back (and any more excuses that I can trot out.....give me time and I will think of some!!) I'm glad to have done it

Thanks for the thread babe
Break it down into smaller, managable chunks with a 'treat' at the end of each?
it's only a 10k?
oic
yes you are right of course
good way to tackle a 10k too
morning all
GO SAM! GO PLODDERS!
I've yet to go out and get mine
oic
woohoo - way to go Sam!
and yes it is
just had long phone call from Big Sis, worried about Doolally BiL coming home from hoz soon
worried about adaptions to house if he needs to live downstairs, DHH cover and its funding and so on and so on
((((Yeo and family))))
He should be eligable for some sort of financial help to adapt the house I would have thought?
possibly not cos he was a Consultant so has got a good pension
Lovely Niece is a social worker so knows about that side - they're worried more about the practicalities
BS wanted the DHH's perspective
Does that mean he wont get DLA?
Handy to have a SW in the family, she should be fairly up on what services may be of use to him.
(((Yeo)))
Aged M on the phone sounding amazing
dunno about DLA
good news about Aged M, Flr
I think DLA isn't means tested but cannot be backdated and you have to have had THE CONDITION for more than 6 months unless you are terminal
that's from memory looking at it for Aged M - and claiming it fo Aged P
Aged M's OT was good on stuff - perching stools, bath chairs, walkers for outside etc
but some of it we did - grab rails and ramp
and some she had to pay for (stair life)
of course
the probs are a bit different - BiL is physically ok but needs support to do everything and is inclined to wander
