Gulity Pleasure...Powerbars
After months of fighting it...I have to admit I REALLY like the taste of Vanilla Powerbars.
Fruity ones I have no decided are yuck, too fizzy in the mouth.
Seriously I never knew it could be this yum.....
Plus everytime I buy a big box I feel like I'm opening up a little shop in my kitchen, I fold back the lable and almost want to write the price on it just for fun!!
Could you eat one just because its there and not because you're on a bike? 
Anyone else with me on this??

If you're talking about the gels then vanilla are the best. Not sure if I could ever eat them unless I'm riding or running. The other flavours are disgusting.
If you're talking about the solid bars, by the time I can the open the little feckers I've usually lost my appetite. I'm sure the wrappers are made by Chubb.

Cookie's and Cream is the best flavour.
I ate three bars during the grizzly.
I was full after the second one but what the hell they are so yummy.
Look all you need to do is cut them up before the ride (am talking bars here not gels), make sure there is a little snip to easily tear so when out riding it slips off...no problem!

It's taken months and months of hard slogging to finally force my taste buds into liking them and I won't surrender now.
It better bloody work for me at IM, having invested sooooo much money in buying box after box.

Ok... anyone agree with me that no matter what the flavour, powerbar gels all taste like wallpaper glue?
I dont think I could eat them when not training but the SIS SMART gels are nice. That maybe because by the time I get round to having them I am about to die
I have never managed yet to eat a whole powerbar product. I have spat a lot of it into hedges
so I have tried.
AL - I'm with you. Sometimes I wonder if I can just sneak one into my lunchbox for work. I really find them very yummy.
As for those not being able to get into them, I just don't understand..... I am Little Miss Inept on a bike and I can get them open. Hand in back pocket, grab bar, rip wrapper with teeth, chomp. Simples!
However I eat (on average) 2 nitrotech bars every day. It's spiralling out of control! I have an ebay dealer who sells me 4 boxes at a time. I think I've eaten so many that I'm even becoming allergic to them - I get a scratchy throat after eating one. But how can it be wrong when it feels so right?
Sounds like you're addicted...you even have a dealer, lol!!!
IronMelissa, yip, you can buy the fruity ones here. I have the kiwi flaovoured ones which I thought I liked at first but now can't even face the smell of them.
