Hey Spence - good luck! Have a great time up there. Pass best wishes to Lurker and anyone else I might know there. I'm jealous - wish I were up to it just now. I might just stagger round Cov HM next weekend.
WAP - Thanks, was thinking of joining a club and yours is the nearest to me so wanted to get some feedback from someone in the know.
Also completely missed the Aldridge 10k (have done for the past three years - for some reason), so would like to do that if its not full yet .
Enjoy all your marathons/halfs at the weekend. Having a well earned rest and still recovering from a "special birthday" last weekend. Just getting back to the discipline of running
The club meet every Tuesday 7 .15 pm @ the Cricket & Hockey club in Aldridge of Little Aston Road. You are welcome to come along and check us out ,we are a very friendly club!
We still have numbers available for the race on the 13 th June.
Check our website out www.aldridgerunningclub.co.uk.
Spence - AAAGH! Good Luck to you lady!!!! How did you get on at Stratford in the end?
Shame to hear about Lurker
Anyone doing the old Rowheath (now BRAT) 5k series again?
Wanted to do 2 Castles but was told it had filled up before I got round to it.
When's Cov? Think BBCHM will be my next as that's not that far away anyway. Especially as I'm struggling to get past 6 miles continuous running at the moment (a lead-legged 8 on canals last night but that was tough going)
Cheers for the birthday wishes Did 7 miles this morning. GOD how quickly does not running catch up with you, was gasping like an eighty year old when I got back LOL ! (must be that birthday I just had).
WAP thank you, will check web site out and try and come along.
KAKS,,,,,,,,,,,happy birthday, where is the party ?
Good luck to all runners this weekend.
Not sure where the name 'Centurions' came from although there is a local pub called the 'The Centurion', and knowing that all us super athletes are also a bunch of 'wreck heads' I suspect there could be a link
Had a fancy dress party last sat, was hilarious. Most recommended as I did not stop laughing all night.

It's quite possible - many of the older clubs originally used local hostelries as their HQs - ours included!
I am also down to do the two castles but slight problems with my foot at the moment so I am having to restrain myself from running for two weeks and hope I cures.
Having struggled a bit with the Two Castles, I won't be doing the Arden 9 this year... it's a shame because it's a nice race. It's also where I first met Spence, but don't let that put you off folks!
I'm saving myself for the BBCHM (couldn't miss that), and then Birmingham. I've even decided not to do the Yorks Wolds HM (a race I really love) two weeks after BBCHM.

So, everbody here going to do the Rutland Water marathon then?
Shall we hire a bus?

RK - are you doing Arden 9 again?
I am doing Arden 9
I am also down to do the two castles but slight problems with my foot at the moment so I am having to restrain myself from running for two weeks and hope I cures.
I'm entered for Two Castles & will probably do Arden 9 and almost certainly Rutland.
I have problems with my foot too - the one that's first out of bed. The rest of my body can't get out on it's own. Hope yours starts working properly!
Anyone want a number for the Arden 9 on Sunday, having said that it's prolly not full.
I shall be at the end with cake !
