Just to let you all know that the Newport and District Website is down - And will be for a while....
But the Wheaton Aston 10K is still on and entry forms available.... Either entries online at runners world or forms available through West midlands running scene

EEK!!! Dont i have got january 2nd for my official training but someone said i should start earlier to allow fo any time or breaks arrghh, cant start earlier cos of kids been off school ( i run when kids are at school being single mom and all that )

However the knee does seem to be gradually getting better so hopefully will still be back up and out soon enough.
I'm assuming the Newport is Newport in Shropshire rather than Gwent, R-K.

Spence, I'm off to the panto when down in Cornwall on about the 28th. I think the last panto I went to was the last one I featured in when I was 18!

HannahsmomUK - Its on Tuesday the 27th December 11am for the 10K and 10.30 for the 2K fun run. Its pre entries only £10/12. Starts from Wheaton Aston, staffordshire, 30mins from brum. Quite a lot of Brummie clubs have it in there Grand Prix. Nice fast course if ya fancy it

It's not that, Prue, I literally had no idea what you were talking about, even that there was a Newport in Shropshire but, given that there is, I suppose it would make more sense for you to be referring to that one! It seems an odd name for a place so far from the sea... Anyway, do forgive me, I've only lived in the Midlands for 18 years!
As it happens, I'll be up North for Christmas, so the Wheaton Aston race is a non-starter for me anyway, I'm afraid (my Mum would never forgive me!).
...and I'll be in the bottom left-hand corner of the country, so even if I was fit (maybe the 2k) it's also a non-starter for me!

I have finally managed to get some miles in my feet over Christmas. 1.75 on Christmas morning and 2.08 on 27th to be precise! No point overdoing it!
