First one for me is XC on Saturday, Warwickshire XC. I will be at the back I think !!!!
Did a 10k race while in Somerset, dressed as a snowman ! There is a sadistic pleasure overtaking people while in fancy dress, heard someone grumble as I went past them ! !!!!
I had a distraught (for which read drunken) friend to deal with on Friday night (for which read most of Saturday). Didn't even make it to see Moseley lose in the afternoon.
I did make it to the GP this morning, though I didn't perform so well. Finally got to pick up my GP Prize for 3rd MV50 back in May - cheers Chris! There wasn't much left to drink, though...
Took part in a soaking wet Centurion Grand Prix 5 mile race today - It was so wet, the race numbers were washed off my and several other runners tops!
The February race which was called off due to snow, has now been rearranged for Sunday April 29th.
Also have seen a tweet from Tom Williams from parkrun saying that as well as carrying out a visit to Walsall yesterday ahead of their first event next weekend, he's also been checking out a new course in Wolverhampton.
Exciting times, with a choice of four, and potientially five parkruns events in the West Midlands county every Saturday morning.
morning all, newbie to this thread, even this forum, but wanted to say hi, just done the cobra classic 10k, next lined up is the blakedown bolt, baggeridge 5k, maybe stourbridge 10k before my first HM in Brum in October
I've just had confirmation of my place on the National Trust Much Wenlock HM today in July and there are 12 stiles in it eek!!! dont think i'll be going for a PB there, think i'll be walking most of it lol, its a trail run by the looks of it, I just entered cos it had a medal, i love my bling, they have a great medal at the Aldridge 10K
Look forward to meeting you Sqwark on the Aldridge 10K where do u go running, have u done it before. I saved all my energy for that last slow drag of a climb up Hobbs Hole Lane lol

1st run of 2012 = 1st race of 2012 = 1st PB of 2012!
Well, I equalled my 5-mile PB, which still counts, right?!
I was dressed as a Smurf. Well, my skin was blue, anyway.
RK, are you GP'ing on Sunday ?

Just noticed the announcement on the centurion site, too!

I too was at the Centurion GP this morning. I changed into my trail shoes 5 mins before the start - a good decision I felt!
Great news about Wolvo parkrun. More ammunition to use against BCC.
Maybe see you at Walsall next Saturday - I'll be there in my Marathon Talk 26.2 T-shirt (weather permitting!), and I'll take the trailies!
I missed the GP, had myself my first 'fell race', absolutely awesome, could easily start doing them. If only they were closer though.
Hopefully see some of you at the next GP.
Congratulations to Dudley Kingswinford Running Club for the great 10k yesterday evening.
Have all the West Mids people disappeared?
Out running!
RK, what's "More ammunition to use against BCC" about ?
Hope everything is cool with you - have not seen you in ages.
Owl
