Thanks ATOM doesn't sound to bad, if I do this or IMDE i will be bringing my wife and two children. I have heard accomodation in Roth is pretty limited, so if I have to camp I'll have to drive
tg2 - where would you be driving from? Assuming you'd be crossing the Channel by the usual route, then it's about 8 hours to Roth, i.e. 3 hours past Frankfurt. There's loads of hotels and gasthaus accommodationi nthe area but it fills up quickly. The main camp site is in Hilpolstein by the swim start, it fills quickly too so you would need to book early. There's a link on the Challenge website to accommodation.
Last year I think Rosey's party stayed in rooms at the pizzeria in Roth!
Just to show my complete ignorance, for some taper-madness reason I thought Roth was in Scotland so I am delighted to find out that it is just a few hours drive south for me from Holland!!! Makes me less of a "maybe" and more of a "probably will"
note to self ....best check where Zurich is before I set off next Weds......
Full Race Bassy Mellifera Pkim ATOM. IW Tommygun2 Barley
Relay LJS, swimmer (definite) - SP, cyclist (definite) TL, Runner (definite) = So sorry if we let LJS down, his a bit quick in the water.

Well said Meldy. This thread is for attendees to the biggest tri in the world, with civil swim starts and a part of the course called the beer mile. Now THATS racing (or indeed non competitive leisure activity)

I'd be most probably driving...but them I'm already in the continent... leisurely 5-6hrs drive for me.
So it might be a good idea to start talking/booking the accomodation along with the race entry?
I can't believe I'm even discussing accomodation when I should be discussing the ungodly amount of training I will have to start and figure out soon.
