10k been unwell

was training well for 10k up to 5miles at 9min mile then had horrendous chest infection and flu.felt like death for a week then slowly recovered so havent run for 3 weeks .started agin slowly on monday did 3mile and again tonight.Thing is i am wanting to do 10k on 21st sept.just wondering how best to pick back up in a short time.ANy tips please getting twitchy espeacially as race number arrived today.
