Dividing time between running & gym

On average I have about 45 minutes per day for running and have been happy to log 30 miles approx a week for sometime.I have scored free enrolement to a local fitness suite and have been seduced/confused by the new situation.I am training to improve my 10K time and thought leg strengthening exercises could help - but if I am not finding time to run....
has anybody got any suggestions or should I just dump the gym (cos I am a runner first and foremost).
