thank the lord im not the only person in the world who cant go for a plus 6 mile run wihtout being 'uncomfortable'. i have found bananas and bread very very bad ideas before runs. and cheese. cheese is bad. what should i eat?energy bars?
<thinks hard before suggesting remedy as could spark up debate again>
I used to have this problem but now I don't...
my solution is....
I'm sure you'll guess....
WATER!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 'big' glass night before long run and first thing I do when I get up in the morning is.....
drink lots of water!!!!!!
then toast and maybe a banana
....and some more water
How much water you drink will depend on your particular constitution, it took me a while to work out the right amount to 'cleanse my system' but not be too much so I needed to stop for a wee every five minutes.
I swear it's the answer though and it's so nice to be able to go out for a long run now without that niggling worry at the back of your mind....if you know what I mean
after 4 miles, i got THAT feeling at 5 miles i was running in a most peculiar fashin, buocks clenched, hands clenching and unclenching in an attempt to distract myself
