Dear Dave,

I am sorry to hear that Monique has decided to do a half deca IM competion.

I feel for you, no really I do. I realise you are going to be in a world of pain, what with Mon getting more and more tired and grumpy. I would suggest the following survival techniques.

1. Learn to sleep with your eyes open thus kidding her you are being attentive
2. Hire the Major to bring a load of his Ghurka chaps, they must be good sherpas.
3. Buy the nations supply of Freddy Frogs
4. Feign death, or at least a serious Neural illness prior to the event.
5. Invest in a deep fat fryer and take up the oxy challenge. A one handed sherpa is next to useless.
6. Get yourself imprisoned, or failing that join the Navy.

If however you find that none of these ploys are successful please do not ring or mail me under any circumstances. I would feel obliged to come if asked, so Im telling you now .... DONT ASK.

I would rather boil my buttocks in a bowl of custard than support a 5x....

FB- When you get amongst the likes of Tony Raynor, Dave Clamp et al it seems the most natural normal thing in the world, the deca is for the following year now. Just like Pirating has made IM a normal thing to do of a Sunday morning
