Thanks for the hug cake, sadly we have just found out Nan has developed phuemonia (spelling?), dont know if she will cope with this as she was 90 last Friday. One day at a time. Anyway the running definately helps take my mind off things. Nothing like a LSR to clear the head!
I'm sorry it's full but I'd decided that I wasn't racing as my calf still isn't right. Will be available for cheering duties as per the last 2 years - and lunch afterwards in the Dev Cat - particularly if Cake is paying!
I am looking for a place in the half-marathon. I will be running to raise funds for the Chilean Earthquake Appeal on behalf of the Sheffield-based Chile Sports & Cultural Development Association. You can see info. about the organisation here: chilescda.org
Needless to say, I would reimburse entry fee and you would have my eternal gratitude.
I would really appreciate it if people could pass on this message if they hear of anyone dropping out.
I was hoping to run this year but when i went online today the enrty was full If i get in im planning on running for Motor Neurone Disease Association. I would really appreciate if anyone who cant make it can pass their entry on to me. Of course i will pay you for the entry.
Foo - don't be such a lightweight. That's 3 for cheesecake so far - cheers Cake!
KJ - how's your calf? I went on a mtb ride south of Notts today and noticed the kilomathon signs - will you still be giving it a go? I know you were looking forward to it.
Yes how is the calf Katiejane would be a shame if you Had to pull out I got my number yesterday starting to get nervous now what made me put down a target time of 2:08 i will never know starting just behind the elites
Just in case if anyone is looking for a number worth looking on fetch and also the local sheffield forum (not to be confused with the sheffield social on RW). Places do pop up as people get unlucky and get injured.
Hello Foo & Mozzy - the calf is still a problem, got physio tomorrow eve. At the moment i still want to do it but will be run/walk'ing it. 6 days to go, miracles can happen!
KJ, you know what to do when it comes to Cakes pay day this month... We dont want a repeat of last year... Caaaaaaz come down from Bradford and run further than you've ever run before, I'll buy you a pint afterwards... Fast forward to race day.... Ermmmmmmm, I dont actually have any money to buy you a pint Caz...
For anyone thinking of hanging around at the back of the pack, look out for me... (bright yellow Livestrong t-shirt) My HM PB is 2:29 and I fully expect to be coming in at around that time again this year.
Sorry chuck, it was a horrible gas bill 400 quid each! Plus did get you to do a half! Marafuns next and then tri, have you ever been to Dublin?
Looking like going to not run Bradford at this stage, It's not worth the risk to injury for a 10k, might change mind after this weekend and still got coach tickets so will shout you off and back anyway, with a big grin.
OK, admittedly you did get me to do a HM when I didnt think I could... and now I've signed up for a marathon... but there is no way on earth you are talking me into a Tri... for a start I swim like a brick and it only takes 10mins on a bike for me to go... my bum hurts... and that's with the biggest paddiest saddle in the whole wide world AND padded cycle shorts.
Finally got off my arse yesteday and kick started my training after doing very little for the last few weeks managed a steady 11 miles and enjoyed running in the sunshine for a change!!
Cake, a change of identity and a trip in to hiding might be on the cards come pay day!!

The race limit has now been reached and no further entries can be accepted.
I may well be at the back as I`m probably running it with my wife and it`ll be her first one!
Needless to say, I would reimburse entry fee and you would have my eternal gratitude.

Many thanks
