Rosey, from myself and Mrs TB a big whole hardy congratulations mate, thouroghly enjoyed the race report, and it got me feeling i really do need to get my arse into gear and get on with some training. We did not know that you had a group of supporters going out but we were hoping to but just could not afford it. Well done and best wishes to you and the family.
Tonka, get out and start mate, never too early to get into IM base work.
Also, and this is very presumptiuos that I will qualify again or anyone would go all that way to support but I will be aiming to qualify again in a few years and to have support at the race is so special, if you don't see qualification in your stars i would still say going out to watch is both an amazing experience and a fantastic chance to have an amazing holiday at the same time, from what the guys said the race week is the time to be as it gets quiet after Monday and then maybe take in another island or fly back to US and take in a city like SF.
Going out to support is certainly an ambition of mine, pretty sure its something ill tick off in the next 5 years. Just need to wait for a pirate qualification and suitable financial position coinciding.
Any idea of the ballpark cost for flights and accom?
There is a ballot system, well more of a raffle, think the tickets cost about $50. There is another way in in which you can buy a place for something like $50,000
The lads got flights for 600 and 3 shared accom at 750 for the week, can be done cheaper bear in mind we didn't have a lot of time to plan, lottery has 50 places for international athletes, cost $25 to enter

Great report Rosey, the blog site has a nice touch with pictures as well.
Did I read somewhere that Kona has a ballot system to enter as well, is this system time qualified or open?
