i'll be wearing my crappy shoes i use to cut the grass with in the summer, after this race whatever you wear on your feet will be fit for the trash cart anyway !
Whats the latest on the stream Mr Phil, i was down the dunes / newton on Wednesday and it was looking good then
been over this morning. was between knee and just below waist deep in many places and flowing quite fast. being topped up nicely on a daily basis as well!
bring a towell and some spare trainers - you'll need them!
had another report from someone who'd run across the bouncy bridge to the iron bridge, and he's informed me that's under about 4 inches of water - gonna be fun this year!!
flying ant............if you check with Plodding Hippo if she has entered...........It looks like I have a spare entry which she could have.........but you will have to be quickish as My OH will probably offer it at the running club tomorrow night
it feels like it today despite the rain..........I'm freezing..........this rain will have to stop before the race.don't want to be standing around at the top freezing wet and cold.........

There is not abundant parking so if you can share it is best. There is normally a field on the way down there that is about 50p per car. You could also park in the leisure center, it is about a mile and a half I guess to the start (cross country) from there.

It's all go !
I wasn't looking for an excuse......, with the current weather, i'm looking forward to being knee deep in mud and sand......

Trail shoes would be better, but do not worry if you have not. You just may need to wash them afterwards
