Just entered the marathon. Did 4 hours in 80 degree heat at the White Peak marathon in May so hoping for a good half hour quicker on the Fleetwood course.
i have entered and am looking forward to it! hopefully going for a good for age time which will be sub 3:10 i ran 3:10:54 for london so need to knock off a minute!! for those going for a gfa run, this race is about a week late for next years london but i suppose on the plus side you have two years after that. just out for a twenty now and it's a bit windy so that will be good training for what i hear about last years race good luck all
hello boys and girls, just thought I would pop in and say hello, seeing as I've just booked my hotel for this event. Having said that, I have now realised that i don't appear to have confirmation of my entry. Should I have received something by now?
Like Ash 1 says, email us with your details. We do not appear to have had an entry from you (Kerry Hudson)
1. How did you enter, by post/cheque or online, Runner's World?
2. If by post did you put the correct postage on the envelope, if not they go to Belfast for sorting and will eventually be returned to the sender, this can take up to 6 weeks.
3. If you have paid by cheque, cancel it as it maybe that it is lost in the post.
this ST Annes to Fleetwood marathon does it do a loop at Blackpool or something because after my success at Chester got 3h59 I am looking for a local one
The Fylde Coast Marathon starts at St Annes Pier runs south to theWindmill on Lytham Green turns back to St Annes - Squires Gate Lane Blackpool - new promenade to North Pier then Lancashire Coastal Way through to Fleetwood via the new cleveleys promenade finishing at the Leisure centre, changing, showers, food etc.
We have double checked both full & half entries and do not have your name on any. We cannot trace having banked a check in your name. Are you sure it was the Fleetwood event you entered?
may be joining holmfirth harriers as last week I did 3 races and came in the top 100 each time at Black kinght last week came 13th (east cheshires trail race) ankle has held since healed but I go swimming 4 times a week and can do 82 lengths in 55 mins but have to be careful as I seem to suffer leg cramp at times
HolmfirthHarriers are a brilliant club and over the years had many great runners, I have good friends at the club.Keep fit, keep free from injuries now.
Can anyone point me in the direction of last years results so I can see whether I am wasting my time in entering or not?
I'm not a fast marathoner, and can't find out whether there is a time limit on the course or anything. If there is a website, would someone mind posting it as google can't find one
RocketRon, I am absolutely positive that I entered the Fleetwood marathon @ £22 with the chq made to UK Road Races. I shall ask the bank to check who banked it then. Please reserve me a place in the meantime as I cannot get a refund on the hotel .
how's tricks? You doing this one then? Haven't done much at all recently but would be good to do something to try and get motivated. Could probably get 'round with you in 5 1/2 hrs ish if you fancy some company.
