Hi! New guy here. Just been catching up on last few pages. I'm doing Chester and interested in a quick summary of the course profile if poss.
Also just wanted to add to the London length debate. I followed the blue line all the way in 2010 and 2011 from the Championship start and still measured 26.82 with no weaving about. Wish it had been 26.24 like Chester as I would have gone 2.36 and smashed my club record!!! Good luck all
From what I know of the course, it is pretty flat with some slight undulations. There is a gradual incline at around 24 miles but then it is downhill all the way to the finish.
Good luck. I'm meant to be running it but got a calf strain last Friday so it's pretty much a race against time.
Thank you. If it's any consolation I picked up a calf strain at Great Welsh Marathon in April at mile 23, took the week off and ran 2.47 at London the following Sunday so hopefully you'll be ok

Hi Michael,
This year's thread is here:
MBNA Chester Marathon

Hopefully see you there!
